Jordan of the Islands

Off topic (a bit), but things between US states are not great either. A buddy bought seeds from a California Seed bank (legit) and they arrived looking like they had been smashed with a sledge hammer. There was not a seed left intact and all of the pks and centrifuge vials were squashed. This was after two weeks of MIA between the seedbank and his home. It couldn’t have been the sorting machine…this was definitely the intentional work of an individual. Happy ending though and he was reshipped.

That’s not really off topic. It looks as if our plot to Overgrow the world has taken a hit. The USPS is on to us, we’ll have to switch gears and start breeding our own seeds. Also transport our shit elsewhere.
There’s no way everyone is having such a hard time with these orders. Coincidence, not likely. We are dealing with a bunch of h8ers. Nowadays we have to get more crafty

Canada post loves the marijuana industry. Its basically saved them from gouging the taxpayers even more here

I am guessing that they could be keying in on Breeder’s pks. Seeds would have a much lower threshold of THC that actual plants or buds. I am NOT SURE, but wouldn’t seeds under <3% THC be federally legal in the USA (now with the hemp exception of the Farm Bill)? In fact other than those breeder’s pks, how would anyone know if they were Hemp or the real deal? I am seeing new disclaimers that the advertisers state that their seeds are souvenirs and contain less than .3% THC.

Also can’t figure out how they even get into a pkg legally, unless it was damaged and the contents were showing, or the package was hit on by a dog.

I think they’re just putting it all together. If a certain address keeps popping up, and they always shipping out this discreet type mail, maybe they’re assuming, but correct at there assumptions, something is amiss.
That’s my paranoid way of looking at it. I can’t imagine all of these mishaps happened since just April. And we are only a fraction of the complainants.

I wonder how they can legally justify opening a US Mail item, but who knows what’s going on. Perhaps a few members here that said their spouses are USPS employees can shed some light.

Oaseeds in Spain will ship from different countries and different addys if you buy their super stealth. That seems as though it would be a good idea for stateside seedbanks and anyone doing business in the states.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say they are opening shit, just handling alot ruff to the point of being destructive.
My order from joti came partially crushed, and beans all over the envelope

Interesting, and taking precautions looks to be the order of the day for everyone.

Thieves and the rollers at the edges of the conveyor belts are the culprits , there is no hidden agenda

Exactly! We have to remember, ordinary stuff gets played out. We got to be more crafty.
I recently sent beans in empty bic pens, wrapped up in cardboard and taped together then sealed in a bubble wrapped envelope. Of course I put a filler inside the pens to stop the rattling of the beans

@GramTorino how long did it take for Joti to respond to your email ?
I just looked on up in topic , I sent mine on the same day befor yours and I still have not heard a reply ?

In my experience with JOTI, I send a response on Monday and get one usually Friday. Dude is not know for speed by any means… But he does have some fuego genetics!

I sent some seeds to a guy in AK that were delivered today. He just DM’d me, and they arrived the same way. I sent them in a microtube, inside a padded envelope and the tube was crushed. He said there were 3 that made it but still, that’s weak.

Highly unlikely an individual did this if it went MIA for two weeks it probably was stuck in the bottom of a bin getting smashed again and again with more packages

Oh damn, that’s crazy. Makes me glad I’ve started packing my trade vials in hard cardboard like a phone screen would come in, and then in the bubble mailer, just to be safe…

I’m gonna start using the corrugated plastic after this. That’s gonna be the safest route. Man, I still can hardly believe it, that tube was crushed.

That’s nothing compared to the pics that he sent me. The paper packs were torn open at the corners and the vials inside were crushed flat, and out of the pks… it could be anything as said above, including repeated trips thru the the sorter. I think judging by the remarks here that we should all take heed and pack a bit differently. These are strange times.

I think a lot has to do with covid and how people are reacting. Less people working in the post office. Stuff happens, no one wants to touch anything scared of covid. There could also be those crazies who are going to stamp out weed themselves.

I think more of the problem is with the conditions we are living in currently. Just an opinion. I have had 6 seed deliveries in the last month, all domostic, and no issues. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones.
