FNA! Of course I got caught down the reddit rabbit hole and they were mentioning about how new owners (years ago) didnāt have the same genetics. I havenāt dug deep enough to find out or research thatā¦(see name for real reason)

Good to hear. I have been a fan of his work for a some years and I had heard unsubstantiated reports of decline in quality. Does anyone know what the lineage is on his Purps? I tried to email him a while back but never got a response.

Brother I am excited enough to do a backflip. But then Iād need an ambulance. I have been looking for the mendo since I lost it around 2012,13. Little plant but the quality! 
There was a point about a year or two ago, where he (or his son?) took an ill-advised move to āget with the timesā and go for the hype.
He posted a bunch of packs from Aficionado, Thug Pug, Cap etc etc on IG and was like āwhich ones should I pop first?ā. Then about six months later he dropped a shit ton of hype crosses that obviously werenāt tested. No bud shots, nothing. Generic hype descriptions.
The older stuff has a better rep- the Blackberry, Romulan, and God Bud crosses. Although some say he lost the original parents of God Bud and some other in a bust, and made new parents. Kind of like the Dutch banks did in the late 90ās.
Whatever the case may be- the packs are cheap enough that someone willing to do some hunting should have an okay time of it.
I did a bunch of Blackberry Breath a couple of years ago.
Got 4 females. 1 hermed like crazy, the other 3 were really powerful smoke. 1 in particular was really great. Taste and effects were a delight. The lanky OG type ones seemed to be the best.
Also did the freebie Romulan x White Lightning. It was good. Nothing that really stands out, but solid and stable.
Thatās the extent of my first hand experience.

Not sure the lineage but wow I loved that strain. Only grew it once, under blurple leds a long time ago. I thought it was dark green the whole time but when I chopped it down it was only the leaves that were green. Buds were solid purple, so dark it almost looked black. Smelled like I had my head in a bag of mashed up grapes. I only grew it the one time but really enjoyed it.

This strain for me has had the best effects for my system. I love the melt into the couch feeling to finish the day. Looking forward to see the finished product and hear about your thoughts on it

That works enough for me to grab a pack next month! I loved the grape skunky and the heavy body high. Yeah it usually gets the deep purple! The green phenos had a bit more gas and skunk over the sweet grape. My memory is sketchy donāt quote me in any serious discussion
