Jungle Spice Outcross Grow Logs (Black Domina, Deep Chunk)

Well I haven’t tried the outcrosses, but just the regular jungle spice is pretty resinous, and presses well. But the DC cross @Olbrannon is growing looks pretty good too!

You probably can’t go wrong with any of these.

The BDxJS cross @Jamescoldflame is growing above looks very good too. Perhaps he will update us soon.

As lefthandseeds said above any of those crosses has a chance to get you a nice keeper. Grow a few out and pick a flavor?

:pensive:…srry to say…The two girl were chopped…as I was making space for some more @lefthandseeds gear… but I did keep a clone off of the better one. So nothing lost just pushed back.

This particular pheno is an outlier I expect. It does not appear it is going to yield heavily either. Still I have 2 clones of it just in case it is special and at least one will go with the next round.

OTOH the other female has a lot more branch development and is a different stem rub leaning a bit toward.pepper with some skunk in it. It is not in serious pistil production so take that with a grain of salt. I have 3 clones of this ready to flower soon. This is also the only ‘Mom’ I have atm. Of the 4 that I started 2 others appeared to have a similar structure to this female.

I almost chopped #1 this am. I will wait till Friday so it will atleast make 7 weeks. It has not been taking water up for the last two weeks at the usual pace and I last watered it 2-3 days ago. It just now is light enough to water again and so it will dry a bit on the stem before hanging the next two days.

The pin leaves are coloring at the edge. Could be purple I think if night temps were lower. But I would need a drier climate to do it. I don’t trust those lower temps at RH over 60%

So that one is finishing …what is next? Well Here are 3 clones I took of the #1 pheno after it flowered. The leaves are showing the hormone changes of flower to veg transitions.

Sadly the apex cut of #1 was culled yesterday. I doubt we would have learned much from it anyway since I flowered the original.

And we finally get to #2 I have the apex cut in flower now. It went 12/12 today.

There are also 3 regular cuttings vegging.

I can tell these two phenos from the leaves now. #1 has a shorter leaf and #2 has a longer more pointed leaf.

The #2 Mom

Edit note: all of these pics were taken in morning sun streaming thru an East window. Except the Mom

So the #1 pheno is a nice smoke. It has fair potency at even this stage…(dried but lacking a real cure) there are hints of flavor and in this case I would call them menthol/pine but they are subtle yet. Perhaps the #2 pheno will have a similar but stronger flavor. Dried weight on the plant grown in a one gallon container was 14.6 grams. I will update if the flavor becomes stronger but it is not …at least not yet.

Here I have some clones of it(#2). I will likely choose the two strongest and flower them with the larger one on the right soon.

Pictured above so 7 days of stretch.

As expected the potency and flavor are coming along as the cure progresses. Not yet as smooth as it will be later but the menthol/pine flavor is definitely increasing. The effects definitely have a sedative edge though I experienced some gentle euphoria; whether from having success at producing the herb  or from the plant itself I cannot fairly say.

Edit note: white rhino has a similar taste profile though this adds a subtle menthol

This dc x js is a certified gymnast lol. She stood up this much from pretty much flat on the ground with only a very ghetto stick support system. Went out today and saw she was standing off of the support so i removed it. Crazy what these plants will do.

Short sister that got auto topped

Some of LeftHand Seeds gear outdoor:

Back Domina and Lowland Afghani X Dakini Kush
They got mixed up so I dunno which is which.
Lowland Afghani X Dakini from LeftHand (I think). Again, could be the Domina X Dakini Im not sure.

LeftHands’ gear… again, not sure if its the Domina or Lowland Afghani. If I had to guess, Id say its the Black Domina x Dakini Kush. But I could be wrong.

Jungles Spice x Deep Chunk pics:

Foot tall clone

I can pick this strain out of a group in an instant. It has its own distinct leaf shape to it.
A very vigorous plant. These clones are the fastest growing out of 20+ clones I took off of various plants I have.
My friend hads a Deep Chunk x Jungle Spice that is no shit 8 foot tall already. I will take pic next time Im there. This plant will just climb.
Im just awaiting them to flower right now.
