Jungle Spice Outcross Grow Logs (Black Domina, Deep Chunk)

This over the mint could explain the flavor and it is a note I was not looking for. The joint definitely got the nice sheen of oil that a hashy plant gives.

I’m thinking the soapyness might be from the mingling of the Bd and maybe the 88g13hp in is. The mom 88g13hp I have has a viynl,plastic/rubber kinda thing going on…now I thinking about it BbD×js… has a musty undertone on exhale like ghash.

Looks good man! I’ve got the exact same strain in the veg chamber for my next harvest! Even as a little seedling I found the stems are going a nice purple colour.

Deep Chunk X Jungle Spice “paint pheno”
I call it the paint pheno cuz the odor reminded me of fresh paint, or like a marker.
Dense AF.
Big long spears on the parent plant.

Deep Chunk X Jungle Spice. Deep Chunk pheno.
This plant bounced back after insects just beat the living shit out of it, I actually left her or death, but as soon as the insects passed she bounced back. I couldnt believe it,
Leans towards Deep Chunk. Had that musk-like smell of the DC.
Smoked a joint of her this morning, has a very nice buzz to it,

Hey! yes thanks for inquiring.

I haven’t personally grown the Black Dom or DC hybrids, but several people have. I added them as freebies to go along with the JS F2 reproduction. I was especially impressed with the Black Domina mother I got when I made the cross. She was a beefy girl with a large sturdy frame, and structural complements to the JS, which tends to be more fragrant and resinous, but not yielding as well.

I have done a few more outcrosses as testers. One is a cross to a pure sativa Durban, which @Howard.Crane gave a smoke report of the other day. I’m still working on understanding how it responds in different hybrids to figure out what kinds of plants it works best with. So the Durban and the Black Domina represent pretty opposite ends of the spectrum.

For the time being, I am also still inbreeding. As I learn how it works with other plants, I’m on the inbreeding path for the time being. I have F3s, and will make F4s in the not too distant future. Depending on how the F3 generation looks, I may decide that F4 will be enough to start trying more outcrosses. But it might also take me to F5, depending. I am trying to inbreed toward more sativa traits, because the 88g13hp really dominates the structure in the F1/F2 generations.

I’m strongly considering Bangi Haze as a breeding partner. I prefer to use plants with similar genetic heritage, and BH (Congolese / Nepalese) is a nice stable, inbred sativa leaning hybrid that could go really nicely with it.

sounds great - I will be watching - like the whole BH path as anything hashy is interesting to me - I’m looking for a Bubblegum or Lebanese strain for genetics to make an S1 to take further down.

I like Lebanese. It can be a very medicinal plant and it finishes fast. I’m tinkering around with some Lebbys too. Some are difficult to mature seeds on because of how fast they finish. I’ve grown Geneseeds Black Lebanon, Blue Hemp Lebanese, RSC Lebanese and Leb27. Usually you can find a combination of sativa and indica structures. But it doesn’t really seem to affect the flowering time, or the way they smoke too much.

JungleSpice/BlackDomina/Skunk91 1st day of flowering

Is that from clone or seed? Quite a bit of zigzag at the top.

Lots of different structures in these phenos. But yes. From seeds.

I really like where this is headed… I bet there’s some really loud phenos in those seeds.

The skunk smell comes from the very base of the stalk. You can really tell when you pull one out for a transpant. If you do a stem rubbing on a stem of a fan leaf you get a ginger/hashy/brown cinnamon sugar. So i think of doing some high stress training by sliting the base of the stem at about 3 weeks into flower. I figure the skunk terpene is on the base of the stem in case of a larger predator. So maybe if I act like I’m the predator the whole plant will make a stronger reaction and produce the terpene throughout the plant.
