Crate motor is a good alternative bro, a bit more expensive but much more dependable and someone else doing the rebuild. Only suggestion I have is to either buy a new carb or totally rebuild what you have. A new coil, plugs and wires wouldn’t hurt either as they are cheap,

‘Cheap’ is the key word here, my friend! lol He’s got access to all the add-ons needed in using an old crate motor, that never got took outta the crate, so to speak! lol But yep, you’re right on the plugs etc, and always redo the vacuum lines and such
