Thanks, Yes she is a frosty beast with super rock hard nugs. Nice plant to grow, very easy to grow and super vigorous
Looking great! I’ve never consumed any of the cline only strains I read about on here and it never really was something I cared about. Seeiing the shots of Irene here lately has me changing my mind. I need her in my life! Your garden is beautiful as always, happy Sunday.
Wow amazing job. Those all look so good
Alright after a small break I’m back with another flower run. Got a couple of new strains and a bunch that I ran last time.
But I’ve been super busy with work and hadn’t made up a new batch of soil but wanted to get this flower run going.
So I remembered the original blumat user at icmag talked about a friend who instead of taking the old soil out of each container to re amend, he would just add some dry nutrients to the bottom of the pot and cover with a small amount of soil and just plant on top.
So this is what I’ve done I also added the first top dress. This is the first time im trying this its kind of an experiment so it could go badly but I’m hoping for the best
Now for the new ones I’m bringing in
Topanga Canyon Pure Kush (Hollywood)-supposed to be a really nice kush, I’m hoping it has those nice lemon pledge terps but I will see in a few months
Chimera 3 (Beleaf cut)-was selling for 10k last year so I’m interested to see how it turns out. Saw reviews saying it smells of skittles, I know it’s super frosty to boot as well.
CapJunky (breeder cut)-I’ve heard alot of good things about the capjunky as well. Hoping it lives up to the hype, it’s pretty popular so I’m hopeful
Chem D-trying a different cut of chem d to see what one I like better. This ones not as heavily variegated as the farmer Joe cut. This one’s varigation will almost disappear I’m told when Happy whereas joe’s always has it. Going to run my 2 chem d cuts side by side to see difference.
Red Runtz (Highrise Oklahoma cut)- can’t wait to run this one!! The reviews on this cut are mouth watering
Here’s 2 reviews and a couple pics posted from one of the reviewers
First review
And second review from a grower who got it from same place as me. With his pics
“Red runtz clone. I recommend if lookin for a heavy strawberry terp plant”
And here they are from back left to right
Triangle Kush, Macdaddy, Stardawg Guava, RS11
Ecsd, stardawg Corey, Irene og, chem 91
Chem D(joes), chem D(gmo), Capjunky,chimera 3
Bubba Kush, Red runtz, topanga canyon pure kush
The big ones in the back had a week or so in the 2 gallon pots so they are a fair bit bigger.
The rest have just been plugged into the 2 gallon pots.also some of them were a little rough getting used to the new environment, especially the chimera 3.
Just got caught up on the whole thread. There’s some absolute top shelf flower coming out of your tent man! Beautiful job on some truly outstanding cultivars. I have a Triangle Kush and a Trinity clone coming in later this week so I was particularly interested in the TK. Anything unusual about the TK to be aware of as a grower? I’ve heard it stretches fairly hard but feed wise have you noticed anything unusual in what she wants? Hope you have a great run with these and I’ll for sure be following along.
@FirstCavApache64 Thanks for tagging along!!
And thanks for the compliments
The tk is a lanky plant that stretches a fair bit. Mine needed support early, it even gets floppy in veg for me.
I give everything the same treatment with my soil and top dressing and it seems to handle it pretty well with no I’ll effects.
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I’m sure it will take me a few runs to get it really dialed in, but man I can’t wait to try.
Not much to see here but they are stretching a bit.
All except my new chem d cut. It is kinda just stunted and not doing anything. I’m thinking I might take it out and put something else in instead.
Then just nurse it back to health and do the side by side next flower cycle.
Took the top from capjunky, chimera 3 and topanga canyon pure kush for a clone to mother out.
Was going to do the chem d as well but it hasn’t really grown so it’s a no go for now.
Girls are looking happy! Look forward to watching this run!
RS11 and Macdaddy look unreal!
look forward to the new strains. might snag that cap junky if it turns out,
Just been skimming through this journal as ive just found it now, and clearly you know how to grow and you’re getting some great results!
If you’re not going to be emptying out to re-amend, you can just top dress and amend that way.
Do you have any worms in these containers at all?
They’ll definitely help with bringing that top dress down and working it into the soil for you and making the nutrients more plant available.
I’m not sure how well it will work with blumats, but in organic soil I’d definitely be adding a mulch layer to the pots aswell, so many benefits of a mulch layer in organic soil growing.
Thanks man, those are 2 of the frostiest plants I’ve grown I think.
Really like those 2, terps on both are nice too😍
I’m looking forward to all the new ones, they all kind of have a bit of hype behind them so I’m hoping they all live up to it
Can’t wait to see how they turn out
Thanks for the kind words, really appreciated
I have always top dressed through flower but would always empty my pots to reamend before each run and let sit and cook for a couple months before using it. I had a second batch of soil to use while one cooked after reamend.
Hoping this technique works just as good
I don’t have any works in my pots, they are just 2 gallon pots, not sure if I could put worms in a container that small.
I just put the top dress under the drip line and let it slowly drip into the soil
No mulch layer for me either, I like to get at my soil to top dress and I like to be able to see the drip line is working for each blumat by just looking at it from across the tent.
But if I did it would definitely help hold in moisture and allow roots right to top of soil.
Ok small update.
Had to scrap the chem d side by side. The gmo cut just never stretched like the other new clones and just started to put out flowers at like 4 inches so I took it out and am vegging it out now. I’ll do the side by side next run.
All the other clones I took the tops and they have all rooted. Just have to get them back into veg mode.
All the plants are starting to flower now except the chem 91 up front I just put in to replace the chem D
Also top dressed the other day
Mixed 1/3 all purpose to 2/3 power bloom and gave each pot 2 tbls
Also mixed 50/50 gypsum and Epson salts and gave 2 tbls each pot.
Not much to see but they are starting to put on some frost already, especially the chimera 3
looking good. chimera is supposed to be super triched out so good news its already standing out. cant wait for this run to flower out. should have all the pics and smoke reports before the most important time for us canadians winter basement grows! (for me at least there always the best and easiest to dry and cure)
Took a few shots tonight, mostly of the new ones I haven’t flowered before.
Stardawg Guava is showing some calcium deficiencies
Corey is doing a little better but starting to show some deficiencies too.
These are the ones I put in from rooted clone to 2 gallon pots. Then topped them once they stretched enough. So they aren’t very big.
Red runtz- this ones super squat but has some nice size buds growing.
Cap junky - this ones growing pretty nicely, has a nice amount of frost already.
Chimera 3 - this ones not big, it was the roughest looking cut when potted. But it’s super frosty, even the stalks have some frost on the it looks like
Topanga Canyon Pure Kush - this ones stretched pretty nicely and looks like it’s going to produce nicely, but not much for bud production yet.
Looking good. Ive read stuff about Red Runtz. Very interesting strain to me. Anxious to hear your thoughts on it…. and also of CapJunky.
