Quick update, finally I ended up buying from MPG the lambsbread, after talking with him for some time he seemed legit, and a good worker, so I thought the price is worth it, he has a good documentation on the genetics it has, and he is a really nice guy!! Got the recommendation from @Upstate so thank you! Will upload when they arrive

Where are the 10 week plants now? Surely no one from a tropical region would allow such a fast flowering plant to disappear from their genepool? It would be incredibly popular today and would have probably taken top slot for the most common landrace of South Africa if it did exist… Farmers all around the world are hybridizing in the tropical regions in the Quest for faster plants and you’re telling me that they allowed a 10-week sativa to go extinct? I don’t buy it.
If it does not exist it’s because it was a hybrid. Hybrids change or disappear.
Here is South African Durban Poison from the 80’s, photo taken from Love of Landrace on IG. He is a Durban local and his family has been there for at least several generations. He says there are no landraces that flower in 10 weeks in South Africa.
I am still liking best the story of the Indian workers spreading Hindu Kush genetics around in the 1800’s during the Boer War era, creating a hybrid near Kwazulu/ Durban area. The local genetics would have “swallowed” these faster flowering plants very quickly, perhaps leaving some faster plants in their wake for some years, but climate would not have allowed their continued existance for very long. Mold is the great eliminator of Afghan genetics in a humid climate.
i lived in Switzerland, and i experienced how the Prohibition killed EVERY single good strain there was.
Over the cours of 2 Years , the Swiss PARADISE became Hybrid hell. i mean hell… lowest degree genetics… and consistently… trougout- Before we even had Thai sold on the Streets… Afghani, Lebanese, Pineapple Strains, perfume Strains, Berry Strains…

The laws destroyed the Quality, and basically every Hippie will tell you per example Thai changed from exeptionally good, to good , to quiet good, to ok. Its no different for any other Landrace… Yes prohibition changed Strains…
Well, I am experiencing prohibition too, and strains here keep getting ‘better’ so idk what you talking about, you got to take into account that many landrace growers in their origin place they dont do the post harvest process well, thats why it ends up being ok weed, in fact how curious is that Spain exports the best cannabis in Europe, did you experienced that in Switzerland?
Also in terms of landraces is just that people dont grow them like when it was available, now they love ogpinneapplekushy doo doo, gotta keep in mind that most weed y’all get up there is exported, and before it was shitty weed, now Spain exports the best and we keep the mids, in poor countries as I said, they dont follow good guidelines for POST harvest, which is really important, i.e, here dealers when they want a quick buck, they harvest the plants and dry them in the oven/microwave, that is why its shitty, if it had propper drying and curing it would be fire like any other herb, in jamaica, weed paradise, most people dry in a cover, but in open air, same as in morocco, they dry in houses normally, but they dry the herb for months to make hash, so not the weed problem, but growers problem to try and get a quick buck, its called black market, have you heard of weed cut? Here they have seen coke, a heroin type drug and opioids sprayed into buds.
The durban landrace I got its from SA, and in fact even outdoors in winter, no watering, no feeding the buds tasted really good with a nice high, so maybe what you are getting is bad brother
well, its possible that our Situation-Change Quality-Change was not like in other places… But i think you are talking about America, 70s Weed VS 80s Weed, but thats just the Exeption. And the often poor Quality was mostly cause the Transport in hot Ships, the pressing in Bags when transported…
And cause you preffere Hybrids probably aswell.

The point i tried to make is that in 90 percent of cases Prohibition killed everything. And we actually spoke about origin Contries… Nobody today goes to most of Origincountries cause the good weed… Nobody.

And even in the streets since I knew my people I would get some of the best of my city, but again, gotta know the right dealer, as I said the situation in Europe in this topic is extremely related to Spain, where Im from, go to Amsterdam, most of the weed is spanish, from south spain(Granada and places like that), in fact, during the lockdown, we run out of weed because everything was getting sent out since on europe its payed double the price, here we used to buy it at 2-3€(100gr or so), and hash, since we are also the europe hash gate here you can get the 100 at 2, some years ago even cheaper, and another fun fact, check out the new herb city in europe, its barcelona!!, So I know the europe thing because its strictly related to here!!

Prohibition is exactly why faster plants have been chosen. It is the faster plants that are in no danger of disappearing. I can’t see that they could have possibly let such a fast flowering sativa disappear. I lived and grew for 30 years under prohibition. I’ve grown the same strain since 1991 and I’m not about to let it disappear.
More importantly though, I’ve been told by a local that lives in the very region said land race is allegedly from and he is telling me it does not exist. I believe him, just like I believe you that Swiss pot was awesome

No, thats not true… Thailand grows still alot longflowering stuff, but its lost its quality. but they are still there… Now, you probably make up in your mind that everything fatflowering today in Thiland is Hybrid. thats probably what you doo, right? There is people there smoking seeded bud, also as well as not everything fastflowering is hybrid neither are all landraces from those climstes pure long flowering sativas
More than anything the treatment that weed receives after harvest has probably changed. Who can spend the time to dry and cure weed properly when you are illegally drying many pounds of pot?
