I don’t think it was mentioned before in this thread, the Landrace Team offers 7 ruderalis varieties from eastern Europe suitable for 50° N and higher.
No personal experience with this Breeder but they seem legit to me. I think they are all low THC, some have high CBD.
Are we trying to create our own autos here? I’ve read the Ruderalis have a short grow season genetically built in, and that’s why they cross it to make autos. Please correct me if I’m wrong here.
Khalifa genetics siberian ruderalis, its from landrace bureau, its very fast, purple colors, high cbd, and very resilient, the seeds are cheap so give them a try, though when germinating crack the seeds with the fingers slightly, or with some tweezers, that way you will have high germination rates. I have some pics on my thread if you want to see them.
This is the true OG of Auto flowering cannabis cultivars today. The village where this plant is cultivated are notorious for their ruderalis. Its from this village Dutch companies first got their seeds from to make the ground work of auto flowering thc plants.
If anyone want the best ruderalis around, look at the seeds @Ras is talking about. They can grow in the polar circle at summers!
how is that Village called? so you know explicit where duch companys collected their Strains from, ?
@Kabuddha
yes myselve would tend yet again to search for old collected Lines, and some Autoflowers were relased in the 80s already, and get those.
Per example Auto Hindukush Sensiseeds might be ok (or did they relase the Auto Hindu later ? )…
Its actually only an example, i dont find it looks special enough, consisting of Ruderalis and Afghany… wich is relatively close located, and hence atleast somehow a bit landracy…
for me, any auto ruderalis, semiauto looks just like headacheweed. just so heavy, stressy, jittery, pointless. i understand the idea of pure sativa x auto tho. if its selected afterwords, but again, i never seen an appealing line from further north than turkey.
swiss landrace turned out to be meh, ok, but meh… i also read about slowakian strains long ago, some had a bit of THC, but never as much as the weed we are after… so to me its all some sort of wild Weed , with very unfavorable effect… hence, you can search probably forever for a good norther Landrace.
Again, Swiss Landrace is probably one of the few northern Strains with atleast 5 percent THC… most ruderalis has like 1 percent – Swiss doesent autoflower.
The THC measures would not even matter to me, but if something is selected VS non selected wild matters… to me.
I get where you are comin from but i personally am looking for what a northerly strain brings to the table not what it doesnt have because 99% of whats out there has the thc and the effects everyone wants when smoking recreationally.
The village is called Chebarkul and its notorious for the ruderalis plants. Multiple sources have stated over and over that the ruderalis plants used by Dutch vendors where from Chebarkul.
and yes, i researched it enough, purpura ticenisis sold at that Site IS a swiss Landrace. it was a comparably small Landrace with a small population, so this leaves speculation how long the Swiss Cannabis Culture was gooing, so in other words, it could have derivered from a recently importd foreign Genetic like Afghani, but it was slightly distinct… i mean the THC averages around 5 percent , thats already showing acclimatisation to cold Swiss Climate. right?.
So, its more or less LAndrace. Also the similarity to the Turkish i just showed is funny. Well, any closeby regions weeds look similar, right?. So yeah, this is a Race that grows in swiss cold mountains with sunintensity of 45 Degree north.
but again, its not what i call legendary smoke… its selected a fair bit, and thats why , why not.
Sunintensity is very importent too. one could say, why getting a Strain from just a bit further north than Middleeast? or further north than Nepal wich has super frost resitency.
well, ive seen myselve how low sunshine in Autumn will f__k up your plants totally. its not the coldness alone, its how intense /not intense sunshine is… thats why every Degree Latitude counts somehow.
