All I’ve found was this in the seedfinder description (pasted from an old one on TSCo website I think):
We would like to be honest so we cant say 100% sure (althought we´ve investigated and searched all the info avaible) this plant is a sativa landrace or it could have any other influence in it because these regions have been European colonies till entered the XX century. Nevertheless some traits and its stimulating effect make us think its still a pure sativa one!
Sativa lovers like JGL grew them and didn’t complain about any indica traces. Looking at her and online reports I’m fairly confident it’s pure sativa. Smoke test should help to clarify that.
Fast flowering may be a result of how it was grown/inbreed in its homeland and the selection process that the different breeders put in there after that. Tropical seeds/aeritos stated it was specifically worked toward that end:
Some very special sativas were grown there in small plots of familiar use in the Drakensberg mountain range, in an altitude around 1500-2000 meters ( 4900-6500 feet ).

It is also true we’ve been playing lately with Ciskei in order to make good selections and trying to find a way into the quickest and more compact – short expressions inside this great sativa, […]
@ChongoBongo You have pictures too? What year are your seeds? Mine are called " Bushmans". There is only one company calling it by that name…and I dont know it. @anon82574406 did I get the Ciskei from your repro? @funkyfunk, Did you come across the information about the swiss growers? A certain amount of seeds were gotten from them and only a few sprouted etc…?
Finding Peshawar Afghan Sativa has changed what I thought was possible as far as short flowering Sativa landraces go… It’s a very old landrace, and I’m sure it was spread around the world. To my eye Ciskei looks a bit like Peshawar. She passes the sniff test with flying colors.
Sounds legit and coherent with what I’ve seen on spanish/french forums (cannabisonline mainly). Alpine seeds has been tied to the spanish breeding scene, so I guess the breeding of this strain is well known.
I’ll look at Peshawar thanks! Glad it has your hands up
I’ve seen several others mention having them but I haven’t seen any grown out yet. I had already assumed they were hybridized unless the guy that collected them has a time machine. But who knows, could be legit.
So far so good. I just think they are more acclimated to outdoors and possibly the reason for their fickleness indoors.
I think this is a Lolab Valley hybrid. Not sure yet… it could be a pure Lolab…
Seems a bit too vigorous. Her sister is just as big, but less in the bud department. Regardless, nice plant. I only had Sativa pollen around Lolab…I’m thinking Lolab×Oaxaca is most likely without checking notes.( just kidding. I don’t keep any lol)
Landrace plant porn! @420noob , nice job growing, beautiful plants ,can’t wait on testes, happy growing ,OvetGrow The World , Love those landrace ,heirloom oldschool genes ,All the best ,Peace…
Context and frame of reference matter. If you’re mostly getting shwag with 1-5% THC, 10-15% THC is a real treat. The anti-drug people are right about one thing: cannabis has gotten more potent over the years. I guess even a broken clock tells the correct time twice every day, a marked improvement over their track record.
