Landraces and heirloom (Part 1)

This is why I REFUSE to buy ANYTHING from Green House Seeds.

Time to grab as many Thai strains as you possibly can, because Thai is about to be RUINED FOREVER.

Zomia got very interesting things but its prices are very far from being something made for the love of cannabis and preservation.
I see them as other capitalist pigs honestly.

I personally know substinance farmers in South Africa ,who are very angry with S and A one farmer was even crying

they grow stuff now and it’s always mouldy or attacked by bugs …. Losing most their crop

Because they intentionally introduced hybrids in the Transkei , while A taking the un meddled genetics to bank in his big lab in Switzerland

S was also involved in some other shenanigans and was told would get beaten on sight … if seen in the area …
just watch the Congo edition and see how they rip those locals off … army has to protect them
.Scum!

Green House did do some “travels” all over the world - with (forget his mane but he is deceased) many years ago ran some of their white widow - was OK - been around for quite some time - OK genetics ( those travels they posted are interesting) Guys don’t get mad - just got some Durban Poison from Humbolt CSI -fems - been looking at "the Landrace Team - ColoradSeeds and a few more - guess I have to run regular seeds to get a "true pheno

I mean, if you look into Zomia at all then you would know they are the opposite of what you say and constantly struggle with funding. I’m surprised you’re bashing them when they may be one of the most anti-capitalist collectives providing seeds and benefits to local farmers they interact with.

Hahaha! You really makes me laugh
You can’t sell 20 seeds for 278 U$
For real you can’t!
I’m at forums for like 20 years and growing since like 30 years and those all just seeds!
I sent Thousands of times seeds for free
And when landraces is the theme always need it grow at least 40 or 50 to a decent preservation.

Finding the old school Thai in Thailand now is not as easy as it was once, most I am told is okay but not great. I just hope those with the good Thai keep it to themselves and their inner circles.

I hope Aryan collects industrial hemp.

found it on srtrainly --instead of $100,00 (not counting shipping) got it for $70.00 + $10.00 SHIPPING - probably saved $40- $50 DOLLARS ,maybe this guy will send freebies !!! (he has 4 star rating and 1st time working with “strainly”

Landrace team is also touch and go … they f2 and sell as “collected” and obtained a few strains in a shit way ,
There’s a few forums threads about their antics

I’m not the type of person who’s like throw shit to others but for Chris sake 5 dollars a seed? 10 dollars?
People! THIS IS JUST RIDICUOLUS!
in some countries you can eat many days with 10 dollars!
How can they say that they are altruistic people, that they help farmers, at the expense of what? steal from enthusiasts on the other side of the world? That’s why I like this place, people here still have the true spirit of a real cannabis fan
For me it has always been all about sharing I better recommend the real seed company:
fair prices, and managed by Angus a true connoisseur and lover of landraces.
I am sure that many of the Thai and Lao varieties that Angus sells are the same as Zomia but without the strange names

Yes. Angus is a very nice guy and he knows exactly what he is talking about. It is a wonderful thing that we all share seeds because we love this wonderful sacred plant. But it will all go to hell if money enters the picture. This plant is about GIVING. Money is about TAKING. Those two things can not exist together. I hope the OG community lasts forever.

These are the types to do a coop buy and f2 the hell out of those landraces. There’s got to be a limit to these prices. For 20 seeds the most I would charge is $100 and I would still feel so bad seeing that they are landraces- cultivated by farmers who are not being paid under fair trade principles- that I would give away free extra packages of the strains bought plus a freebee. Ideally, I would pay the source farmers under an agreement to split the earning from the sales under a more equitable arrangement. I understand there are operational costs, but these percentages of profit are not something I want to sponsor or encourage.

Ugandas coming along. The lanky plants are grown with a shorter veg with hps lighting added to metal halide. They definitely stretch more like this. Same bag of seed as the first batch. These do have a tendency to herm early, and again I’m told they do it late. Whether that trait can be corrected with larger pots earlier or with a more consistent light spectrum, I don’t know yet. I transplanted the younger plants earlier, fingers crossed. So far it’s been easy to find the male flowers and I’ve left the latest herms and will continue to do so until or unless I can’t control them. One offender is getting Thai style scorpion tail shoots at random. These branches are to be watched closely for male flowers… So far, the males are stable. One herm has been chucked, two more I’m keeping an eye on. Mainstem male flowers so far, along with those wierd shoots pictured above, (8th photo down) Hoping it stays that way.
