Spine was raising heck when reaching into the back of the tent, arthritis & bone spurs made the activity less than fun.
So I built a ‘Lazy Susan’ to fit the 36" tent and am quite pleased with the results. Started with SIP’s from ACI and have moved on to a Bluemat ‘capillary mat’ system so any fabric pot placed is irrigated. The turntable has a proper bearing and spins freely so every plant can be moved to right in front of me…no more reaching.
I know I am not using all the space as fully as I could, that’s a negative but in my case the positives far outpace the downsides.
Supplies for the Lazy Susan(bearing, wood,epoxy) < $125…capillary mat system <$90.
Very cool. Excellent life improving hack.
That’s awesome, I also suffer from a bad back and can appreciate the the thought that went into this. Good job.
@HorseBadorites who does this remind you of? Didn’t stoney do this and motorized it? I miss his postings…
Freaking brilliant! I am definitely going to build myself one of these. Probably solve my trying to put too many plants in the tent too.
Now that is nice. I wish I could like it twice
Very cool!
Necessity is the mother of invention. Nice job!
He did! Bigger, and rotated maybe once a day. He was a clever dude, and funny. I miss him too.
@grotebag that’s nice and handy, looks good too Is it fiberglassed? Probably coulda used a few more clamps
@HorseBadorites this is brilliant!

Yep, with epoxy, method is called ‘stitch & glue’.
