Co2. And megacrop.
Here is 10 that gives you a complete soil. Just add water.
Sphagnum Peat Moss
Pumice or Rice Hulls or any other available aeration amendment
Earthworm Castings or High Quality Compost
Crustacean Meal
Kelp Meal
Neem Cake
Karanja Cake
Basalt or some other available rock dust
Gypsum
Oyster Shell Flour
That recipe by SubSoilSelections would be perfect. The advice I was given was not to use soils or potting mixes with Time Release fertiliser.
You have to decide if you want to grow with organic fertiliser or salt based nutrients and stick with that.
Look around for ads for horse manure, people with horses will be glad to give it to you for free as it’s nothing but a nuisance for them, but it’s gold for a grower.
I use big thick plastic bags to go collect it. Use a shovel if you don’t wanna puncture the bag with a pitchfork.
Mix a handful of it in the bottom of your soil and top dress every now and then, when the soil sinks. Also topdress with dandelion, nettle, cleaver, thistle, horsetail, grass clippings, tree leaves, all very rich in minerals and growing for free everywhere.
Kitchen scraps are great too. The more variety the better.
Then just sow or plant directly into the same pot and soil again after harvesting, you can keep reusing it that way, the roots of the previous plant helps aerate the soil, so no need for perlite, concurrently they will decompose into food for the new plant.
Add a couple of worms too.
Once you have your pots going, no need to buy anything for your plants ever again.
Earth worm castings and kelp meal, I’m told, is enough to grow on itself.
I talking more in advanced sense.
Co2 was great.
Is expensive and hard to get some acessories here were i live.
