Leave your tip to grow, What's your secret to grow your weed?

One of my favorites from my bag o tricks is to run them again and again. Once the plants adapt to your environment, they really show out. Most of my seeds get cloned out a few times and they perform better than every generation past.

Damnnnn this thread has some good information , especially as I’m on the heels of starting my first living soil grow.

Nervous…

I have only grown one batch to harvest - dry and cure and smoked ( second harvest is being dried )
I think the trick has to do with a slow dry I Guarentee…and not Over dry)

The rest is get everything dialed in …

I don’t have anything to compare it too!

I can tell you after 4 months cure it burns for 10 minutes in a good 1 1/4 and super white ash . Doesnt go out .

Makes sure you cough a little but it’s enjoyable to smoke.

I sporadically smoke/taste commercial blackmarket pink Kush and my grow CANT compare to those good batches …I could swear that stuff is sprayed with flavour oils or something lol

Drying my second harvest now…

So hopefully I can start to establish a growing standard for taste . . . I don’t expect my grow to taste delicious , I mean i got the THC potency and smells and burn right. Im hoping the rest comes with practice.

I use huge pots let the roots run wild 4x 20gal pots in a 4x4 . Lots of organic matter . Redwigglers and what ever else shows up .

Imo nothing beats the taste of a proper living soil grow .

Nothing beats the speed of hydro . Can’t compete with dwc or dtw coco for yeild

Good thread @BERZERK !

Interesting… What form of sulfur are you using in the soil?

Although I haven’t done this yet I am a big believer in this as I have heard and read a lot about it. How can you really know a plant if you don’t dial it in perfectly!?

My Experience so far:
If you’re a soil grower, my advice would be to focus on feeding the microbes in the soil. The other super important thing is making sure you have a DIVERSE microbial population. Obviously you have to make sure you have a balanced soil, a simple soil test will tell you what you need. Otherwise, if you just buy a reputable bag of good soil, top dress when needed and make sure you feed the microbes in the soil, the plant will get exactly what it needs, when it needs it. Having a diverse population of microbes will ensure you have many different nutrient miners that will be able to exchange nutrients for plant exudates. If you only have one dominant microbial population, your plant may be missing out. This will also bolster the plants defenses making it highly pest and pathogen resistant. Compost teas made with sources of microbes such as good quality worm castings, compost and/or insect frass, etc. have worked out very well for me. I’m not a huge believer of products like Recharge but I can see why and how they have their place in the market. Next logical steps in my mind are IMO (indigenous microorganisms), ferments and KNF techniques that I hope to learn in the future.

Select genetics that match your grow area and environment.

Example, select short plants for small area and ensure that your selections are happy plants. Pushing the boundaries will seldom pay off.

I advise strongly, to not be tempted to grow strains that will test your grow.

Read about the genetic, read grow reports, understand the parentage. Do not impulse buy. Though one time I did and found greatness but generally not!

I bubble ozone through my feeding water. The roots love a lil extra oxy.

My secret weapon is AgSil16h- no more floppy stems unless it’s a hopeless genetic. Costs me $1 a grow

I’m on my first cultivation so its hard to me have a secret or a big deal to you experienced guys but here is my $0.2

dont try everything at same time :stuck_out_tongue: I did make this mistake starting my first grow with aeroponic, dwc and coco… so you guys can imagine how was my first and second month
it was good to learnship… but I spent a time which I dont have in the grow… so, if you’re still not retired and dont have all day to keep eyes on your plants… make it simple…

Buy highly recommended premium regular genetics, do a couple of seed runs for F2s or some new F1s, and then get over the pain of culling shitty weak plants. The reason pros have great cuts is because they run through a hell of a lot of weak or mediocre plants and don’t fret a single seed because a pack of 12 costs $150.
