Hi
can someone help me identify the ongoing problem. The leaves from the bottom of the yellow plant some go brown then fall off.
the plant has already lost half its leaves.
the plant looks fine, but if I look deeper under the leaves, I can see how the leaves die.
the pH I checked and is in the range of 6.5-7.
I tried to fix it with mineral fertilizer because I thought it was a lack of N, but it didn’t help.
the plant is 6 months old and is just entering the flowering stage.
please advise me
Thank you.
I see you’re “in ground”. Your soil MAY have an Iron (Fe) deficiency OR lack of Phosphorus. You may want to add EITHER Bone Meal, Worm Castings, Bat Guano. Hard to source, but Crab Shell or Crab meal. You should see a favorable improvement in 7 - 10 days. Good luck!! SS/BW…mister NOTE: Better member-minds than myself will surely add clarity. Consult a “Cannabis Leaves Deficiency Chart”.
It looks like the whole plant itself is doing well…I would just leave it alone bromigo and just let it flower.
If it were me I would give it some Azomite for trace minerals and silicon I would also give it a standard npk dose. If you don’t have access to these things and are on a budget I would recommend an all round fertilizer. 6 month old plant is gonna do stuff like that
Old leaves fall off and die. They don’t last forever. Rest of the plant looks good. Just use a complete fertilizer as directed and don’t worry about it.
“Deficiency charts” are basically useless, FWIW.
So
thank you all for the quick answers.
hmm I also thought it may be a natural phenomenon due to the age of the plant, but I’m worried that leaf falling wo continue.
I have nutrients from General Hydroponics Tripack and also GH ProOrganic.
And when I fed the plant with ppm 500-600.
Do you think that is not enough?
You can probably increase feeds a bit especially since the plant is entering flower, when nutrient demands are highest.
You can’t keep leaves alive forever…it is an annual plant, shaded lower leaves just get old. I don’t see any cause for concern from the pictures.
I think I have the same issue as u in week 2.5 of flower. My plants are indoors hydro
Did you know Fe toxicity, Fe defficiency, Mn toxicity, and Mn deficiency all look the same?
This would be my advice. I give you kudos for showing the whole plant.
Yes they are, see my comment to Mr.Bee above. Not to mention, once you see a deficiency in an annual plant you are too late. Get a soil test done, then you wouldn’t have to guess.
That doesn’t look like a deficiency, but a fungal infection.
What other symptoms should I look for to confirm or refute a fungal disease?
and if so, what treatment would you suggest.
Thank you
With a plant that age you’re going to get dying leaves, thats a hell of a fine canopy, but you’ll get alot more dying leaves when flowering is well under way.
Plant looks fine but the surrounding soil looks dry and not very tillable. If you use that same spot again id mulch a whole bunch of manure and compost around and in your hole over winter to make it a little nicer for plants and then lay a layer of horse and chicken manure over it when you plant your next weed
Thanks
and yes. the local land is very bad. just dust the stove and sand (if water is poured on the ground so the place runs away to drink into the ground) I had to dig a hole (about 1.5 x 2 meters and 70 cm deep. unpleasant work) and filled it with a quality fluffy substrate.
the plant is going well. I increased the ppm on the feed and visibly it helped.
Yeah, it looks fine. If you’re in flower for a couple of weeks and especially if those are fan leaves are from the early days of veg, you are just experiencing the plant directing the nutrition and energy to the flower process, and in turn the oldest leaves start dying off, one by one. peace
