Let's discuss Bigfoot

Lol, survival of the fittest. I would be pretty bummed to hear i was in the lousy apes category. How is an honest ape supposed to compete against a great ass ape?

I also have concerns about him. In one of his documentaries Jeff Melburn almost seemed like a a hostage!

Exactly and no shit!

You do need a gopro! You’ve been in some wild situations.

I agree about the adrenaline causing shaking. Being nervous probably leads to using camera improperly also.

I tried several several times to get a picture of a star with my cellphone camera on full focus. It was blurry because I couldn’t hold it without a small movement. Of course, I may be less steady than most.

I mentioned that. However, I think you are right. The infrared sensor is passive in game cameras
This is a perfect example of me believing Bigfoot enthusiasts without verifying the technical details.

Your friend was very lucky! He must’ve been pretty fast and cool under pressure.

Bigfoot are known to take to trees, so who knows?

Also, people report orbs in the presence of Bigfoot. Some Native Americans say that Bigfoot is always preceded by a light.

That cat thing - wild! Scary stuff to me!

Interesting stuff, I was always told that the house was built on indian burial ground, dunno how true it was but … we have seen some crap out there thats for sure.

Another time , We were coming out the woods at night, walking back toward the trailer and I see this shadow dash from one tree toward another and disappear, well all of A sudden my friends cousin is BOOKING it back to the house, then my friend starts running and I did too… I never heard it, but they both swore they heard loud stomping sounds behind them.

I might add the same night we saw that orb come out the woods, we had some green lasers to point at whatever we saw, so we both knew if we BOTH pointed our laser at something, it was most likely something. Shadows, weird shadows that bring breezes, the whole nine yards. Its so weird out there. quite peaceful but unsettling feelings at night. Wouldnt want to be out alone.

Maybe it was just due to being young, or internal instincts, but it always sort of had this ‘’ ur being watched ‘’ vibe now that I think back to it

got chills just typing all that wtf

You make many excellent points! They are all consistent with the current scientific paradigm.

I will say the fossilization is an extremely rare event and a lack of fossilized evidence can’t prove the negative.

I also agree with your argument on cognitive biases. People can deceive themselves. This can be seen in the concept of pareidolia (link below).

Gigantipithecus comes up in a lot of the discussions. If Bigfoot exists it may well be its descendant.

That’s really frightening and fascinating at the same time. I bet I’d have been the first to haul ass out of there.

I would think residual scent and activity from camera setting would be apparent to any well tuned senses. There are hundreds of Boone and Crockett sized bucks taken by hunters every year. Only a tiny percentage have been caught on trail cam. Just because someone puts out a camera in the woods does not necessarily mean they have filmed all the more alert and reclusive creatures there. Frequently mine would be knocked down and kicked around by bears yet still without a good picture of said Bear.

For those interested/skeptical of samsquanch, i suggest looking up jeff meldrum, hes usually one of the experts on a number of bigfoot research programs, specializing in anatomy

His team has like 200+ “bigfoot” print casts in their collection. Aside from photos/film, i think the prints left behind are the closest we have to evidence.

Its one thing to make a wooden set of feet to strap to your shoes and go walk around in the woods.
But if the casts make anatomical sense, with skin ridges, curled toes, its tough to just say its fake.

So theres a cult of zoological podiatrists out in the remote parts of the world with lifelike models of 14" great-ape adjacent feet on their shoes hoping another human will find their tracks before they erode away? I dunno bro.

““the evidence that exists fully justifies the investigation and the pursuit of this question.””

The 50’s Eric shipton photos look alot like the tracks still found more recently

images(7) images(6) images(5) theres too many sightings over too many years, and too many prints cast to just dismiss it.

First person experience! I love it. I’ve seen on Sasquatch shows where bears screw with cameras.

My dad always said that for every deer you see 10 see you.

I agree. I respect Jeff Meldrum. He’s pushing the current scientific paradigm instead of just writing off the evidence.

A bird species is considered confirmed if someone can record only its call.
