So a little while ago, just before and after harvest I poked holes in the soil and threw in a bunch of seeds, lightly covering the holes again, along with throwing a bunch of seeds onto the soil, all evenly distributed. A small handful in total, mostly my own crosses.
Something interesting happened…
Notice how most of the sprouts are located in, or very close to the woodsorrel.
Life supports life, there is no such thing as competition here, only balance and support.
The closer you sow the seeds to other species and their own, the more they want to grow!
Those that die support the survivors by becoming fertilizer, providing exactly what those sprouts need most, precisely those nutrients they need!
It’s a very small scale impression, but perhaps profound enough to share, there’s no such thing as coincidences.
Feel free to do your own experiment and report back!
Thank you for reading, have a delightful day everyone, peace!
