Limiting access to seed-runs, auctions & fundraisers

I don’t understand. OG rules that you posted? For whom to follow, OG?

No, it’s not a problem. And, yes, that member has been polite.

Tag him into the conversation if you question his intentions

This are OG rules:

And actually I have lost my bid because another “basic users” (stop calling them members, which they aren’t) YoBigdaddy, another “specialist”, has no introduction post nor basic info, just 5 posts, guess where?

so the only requirement to participate is to have enough money

You still think that after checking this two “members”?

All seriousness aside that might be the most @Northern_Loki response I’ve ever seen anyone else ever post :joy::rofl: I love both of you guys

I don’t question their intentions, which are crystal clear for me, I question their right to participate in an auction, and that is something they don’t concern them as they are not members of this community … :sunglasses:

If you’re talking about the :dolphin: guy he has been here 2 years and has a grow journal going

No, that guy was outbided by a basic user, so he outbided me to have the same strain the other took … :sunglasses:

Also in all fairness before rules were changed I was here like 3 days and was signing up for seed runs lol now that I think about it I haven’t seen any new people random free seed request posts since the auctions started

So we still feed the vultures but at least they pay something? Cool …

And, the person you complain about had already completed those requirements.

Ya know George, this has been explained. I think we are at like … twenty times. You don’t have a say on what the rules for an auction are, unless you are the one who is directly involved auctioning something. Are you auctioning something?

And that’s seems to be root of the issue, you’re upset that you keep getting outbid.

It’s an auction. You win some, you lose some. That’s how they work.

Their intent is to win at an auction.

This is starting to become a campaign. Simple. Stay out of the auctions, don’t bid and your outbid problems will be solved. Or, wait for the auction that has the ‘rules’ that you are comfortable with. EOM.

i get your point George was just like a :bulb:moment for me I just realized that I hadn’t seen the request for seeds posts in a while

No, don’t do this.

If someone appears malicious, inform the admin or TeamOG. Or, flag the post. Someone bidding in an auction is not being malicious. If you suspect a shill, that can be adjudicated by the moderation team who’ll have access to additional information.

I was just trying to say don’t talk about someone without them knowing … I would be pissed if I came across people talking about me scrolling one day months later

I get what you are saying and do agree. Though…

Let the moderation team do their job and adjudicate conflicts particularly with community member trying to assess ‘intent’. Flag the post or inform the admin or TeamOG. There is nothing malicious off-hand because someone ‘new’ bids in an auction and someone else gets outbid.

We’ve had one auction blown to include attacks on a ‘new’ user (who’s a regular contributor now, btw) because someone got upset and assessed their intent improperly. Not welcoming at all.

If you check the title of this thread and why it was created you will see we ALL are allowed to say what we think about this matter, so YES, I can discuss about what the rules may be and who can participate. Your arguments are too simple, as you told me once if you don’t like this forum, go and create another, if you don’t like this auctions, don’t participate …

I don’t think I am the only one pissed off being outbided by “strangers”, let’s see at the end of the auction where those seeds go, yeah, I know, their money is as good as ours … :sunglasses:

Create you own auction. You’ll get to make up your own rules.

I did say that. You’ve expressed your views and we’ve explained the reasoning. Repetition on the same things while drawing in new targets that you’ve assessed their intent is becoming a campaign.

From this point forward, IF you have an issue with a user in an auction, reach out to the moderators, TeamOG, or the admin (LJ).

You don’t have a say on how someone else wants to auction things.

The rules they choose are posted, you get outbid, you complain even when the rules are followed. Don’t bid in the auction that don’t include the rules you ‘like’.

It is simple. And easy to understand.

Going after ‘new’ users posting their profile information, making allegations, and assessing their intent. Yes, this will soon become a problem.

oh, and, :sunglasses:

MAN, I wonder how hard/long the outcry would be IF/WHEN somebody F2’s. F3’s or, F4’s some long-awaited seeds, BUT only made it available to “newbies/basic users”. @Northern_Loki would probably have to smash a keyboard or monitor!!! An auction is just that, an AUCTION…highest bidder. Two cents submitted!!!

LOL, I know I can sound angry at times. Really, I’m usually not but sometimes do tend to get snarky (I need to work on that). All monitors intact. :hammer:

Pretty sure heritagefarms still has the platinum pineapple if you want to buy some and support another fundraiser of his…

Not really sure why I even chimed in here, some of these threads make me cringe. I’ll just back out slowly and stop checking in on this one…

Don’t you dare back out…put on the Flak Jacket and get back in there. You’re much more valuable when you’re participating. Lots here have your back, myself being one. Keep doing you!!!
