It’s definitely been something I’m noticing, too! More so in pictures, but still. The purple Lemon Thai mom had really really vibrant purple calyxs, so I expect these to maybe show some of that. They both seem to have been pretty heavily influenced by the PLT but time will tell what the lucky lime does.

I have yet to grow a purple anything. I always think those flowers are so pretty. I hope you get that PLT leaning smoke too. Sounds like a nice sativa leaner.

Here’s a shot of the mom outdoors from a friend’s grow. She’s been grown indoors and out, so I feel pretty safe saying any herm issues are likely to be from LL. Not that I’ve seen any herm-ish behavior.
Purples, man! Some people love them others hate em. I’ve got a friend who will rarely even try purple weed and another who wants everything to fade. Can’t please them all. I’m curious about the effects here, too. Most purple stuff, in my experience, has a somewhat similar high. I’m no expert and really don’t care if things get color or not, but all the really, really purple stuff I’ve had has had that grapey aspect to the smell and a very relaxing but muted high? I don’t know I’m just thinking out loud. Not to say I haven’t had fantastic, colorful weed, but I don’t know. Could all be in my head but heavy purples don’t normally do it for me. That’s part of why I’m so curious on this cut. Purple-y stuff normally goes with a more chill high, so it’s a real toss up how this one will smoke.

That’s interesting about the purple high. I’ve had one purple from a dispo and it tasted like dirt and sent me pretty good. I don’t remember the strain but since they rename everything there it doesn’t even matter.
The other purple I have does have a grapey smell and gives me a good night’s sleep, but isn’t what I typically go for. I am more of the sativa soaring high fan than the couch locked stoned fan.

I totally agree. In my experience the stuff that looks the best isnt the most potent. Whenever i had bud that was pure purple it was never a high to remember.

Check it out. I didn’t realize you’d be able to see the structure so clearly on Maze if I got a flash shot of it right before lights on. Day 125. The zoomed shot is pretty blurry so I’ll get a clearer one later. I have a clearer one but the whole resize issue got in the way so here’s this one for now. 
Ch #2 with some flash action, too. Because why not.

It is indeed. I’ve gone 14-16 weeks but nothing that’s been 18-20. It’s on fresh water now. Probably 10ish days away. I’m really excited to get to trying it. The early samples were extremely good. Very smooth, satisfying smoke that had me thinking some really funny thoughts. I was giggling to myself about hiding from plants in the dark because they can’t see me. Needless to say, I’m excited about trying the finished product. Thanks for putting in the work to make this! One more pheno to flower and then I’ll have more of your seeds down.

Went to Mohican today. It would be a fantastic spot for a pup. There were tons up there. With their people, of course. Didn’t end up taking my dog because we went with friends and stopped to eat and whatnot, but there are multiple really nice trails. It’d be a good spot to go for a day or two. My dog is a little hellion though and the leaves on the ground make him was to zoom constantly. Boy gets hyped. Still working with him on new trails. To be fair, it’s his first fall so I can’t be annoyed.

Eternal Sunshine B (blood pheno/Hawaiian pheno) smelling like wonderful fresh lemons. Very intense smells with this one and I’m very excited to flower it out for consumption. 
Be back soon with a few more of the seeded plant shots as I finish shucking. For how little training and light this received, it seemed to show a strong yield of tight nugs with a fairly large amount space between nodes. Onward!
Eternal Sunshine A (more omg leaning.) incense-y, slight lemon, fuely smells. Untopped made a long running cola with pretty minimal side branching. Pretty big calyxs, a bit leafier than the other. Also excited to try this one!

Goji ghash x unicorn poop. Leafy but nice. I’ll train it differently next round. Top it more, then trim up the lowers harder to make more of a shrub out of it. Few weeks left on these. I’ll get a few better shots when I chop Maze.
PLT x LL really feeling good, I guess. 
I’ll go in to defoliate and shape up in a few days. This is something like day 16 for them. I’ll get shots of the other one later but they’ve got very different nug structure. It’s funny the one that stretched less seems to be more Thai leaning in look.
Corey Heime #2 with some color coming in. Rubbery funk is the smell at the moment. Very intriguing.
I think I’m chopping Maze in 2 days? It just feels right and I’m noticing a few calyxs going brown in a few of the colas. There is still some swell happening but I think it’ll be about ready in 2-3 days…so looking like it’ll be chopped at a day or two shy of 19 weeks. So around 130 days total.

Haha Bodhi’sPurple Lemon Thai x Useful’s Lucky Lime…lucky lime is a black lime reserve x (Appalachia x the white). I’m testing these out for someone because the genetics sounded fun. There’s a lot going on in there but they’ve turned into pretty fun plants

Yeah, that does sound like a fun cross. When did Bodhi release a Purple Lemon Thai? That sounds like something that I would’ve considered breaking down and buying, even though I don’t wanna buy any more seeds haha.
That also sounds cool.
Edit: never mind, I just looked up that Purple Lemon Thai. I actually probably woulda skipped that one, but what you’re growing still sounds fun! haha.
