Yeah looks like it was released about a year ago? I’m not personally very familiar with purple unicorn and was never drawn to it but the rest of the lineup interests me.
Thank you and oh that’s awesome…yeah that is what got me into these. That seemed like a fun cross. I know there’s been some drama around black lime reserve but I don’t know everything about that. I haven’t grown anything from Useful. Unfortunate that what is out there is all there will be.

The only PU thing I’ve grown was the Purple NL2. I reeeeallllyyyy did not like it, only thing of Bodhi’s (and one of the only things from any breeder) that I’ve grown that I truly did not enjoy. Didn’t enjoy growing it, didn’t enjoy smoking it haha.

I’ve got a couple packs of Doc’s BLR x Watermelon Hashplant, actually thought about planting some of those when I was digging through the fridge the other day. Went with those Scott’s OG seeds instead. Totally different from one another, I know haha.

Ah. That sucks. I think I recall reading that. Here’s to hoping these turn out better than those! No real smells or anything yet, but they were pretty skunky/musty during veg.
I am pretty sure I remember reading that there were apparently two major cuts going around and one may have been “fake”/not BLR but I don’t know enough about who worked with it, when and the origins. Feels like that with everything though. It was definitely in a thread here about black lime reserve but I couldn’t find what I remember reading. I would pretty much trust the judgement of the breeders I already trust though lol if they worked with it, they likely knew it was decent or at least tried it. Either way, I didn’t take cuts of these two. I do think I have one more female in veg but it didn’t show in the first 45 days or so and it didn’t get flowered this round.
That sounds really intriguing. Potentially pretty relaxing or sleepy. I saw a few discussions about that when I was trying to find what I read.
And I’m happy about it! Hah I’d definitely be curious about those above mentioned seeds but I looked at Scott’s og for a while back when it came out but never went for it. I saw you mention it in your thread, I think. I grew Cornbread years ago and liked it quite a bit. Hop on that TK train hah

For sure is polar opposite think that makes for some interesting plants kinda on the same vain as the blr x whp I think @AzSeaindooin420 grew one of those outdoors that ended up outgrowing his greenhouse

Also smoked a bit of Scott’s og it’s pretty nice smoke my homie gets lots of dispo samples and there grower likes raredankness genetics should be some nice plants in those @minitiger

Hm. Yeah, everybody likes to argue about stuff haha, cuts especially. I dunno anything about any BLR clones, but I’m sure Doc used a good one haha…
I know that fake cuts get passed around all the time, but sometimes I wonder if maybe people are just bitching. You know? Like,”This weed isn’t as good as they said it was! Plus it didn’t grow anything like how I was told it’d grow! It must be FAKE!” instead of just considering environmental factors, different grow media, lights etc etc etc.
Or maybe they’re just shitty growers haha… Maybe they’re fake clones, too, I dunno. I’m not too worried about it.

I think so too, but I also catch myself playing devils advocate and wishing lines were kept to one side or another sometimes. Good plants are good plants though.
I couldn’t agree more. Hah just because you didn’t like something doesn’t mean it’s bad or fake or whatnot. I’ve had runs where the same clone ends up pretty different than a previous round. Egos are pretty massive in this world. Grower error is inevitable. All that said it is nice to know that what you’re working with is what whoever said it is. I’m also not worried much about it. Time moves fast.
I try to be more descriptive sometimes but today deserves a holy shit. Maze was a battle to get down. Haha I had been preparing myself for it for a while, but I guess I didn’t realize just how big every cola got. Got it down. Got it hung. Got the branches separated. I thought about splitting it in two to dry but just couldn’t get myself to do so. I’ll go in every day to shake it up and make sure there is no mold. I’ll also be picking little dead fans as it dries because I feel this one will be tough to trim without breaking it up. Anyway, here she is. Cut at 131 days. Smells really incredible. Hard to describe but I’ll think on it. Be back soon. Need to sweep the floors and pick out the plant tie.

What a strange looking behemoth! You could almost just wrap a paper around one of those little calyx towers and smoke it, no grinding necessary!

Hah that was the exact wording I had in my mind. I had to go reread to see if I said it in my post. Calyx towers. I think they’ll dry together well and be quiet a spectacle when they’re all done. The smell is so hard to describe. I’ll sift some lowers for some special hash and save most everything else for a good time. Thank you once more for doing the work! I’m pumped to go through many more seeds and creations from you.

Before we had heard the term "foxtailing " we use to call it “towering” because of those little calyx towers.
mid 80s, central Ontario. It took a while for things to trickel down to us back then.
Kudos again for taking on the marathon that is Maze. I appreciate that you gave up that much space for that much time and i hope you’re rewarded with some great Herb and hash! Perhaps a cob or 2 ?

I’ve never tried my hand at cobs but I am definitely curious about the whole thing. I’ve watched/read through a few guides here, your thread included, but just haven’t gone for it yet.
Little update on the Purple Lemon Thai x Lucky Lime just to show how different the phenos are so far. They’re somewhere between 2-3 weeks currently. Like I mentioned, the more Thai looking structure is on the one that stretched less. The taller one has more smell to her right now. Pretty skunky with citrus undertones. 
I did just spray the cover crop/some lowers so there are some water droplets on some leaves. No pest pressure, I just have a routine. And sometimes gnats do hide in the cover crop.

Good morning everybody
Yesterday was day 21 for the PLT x LL so I cleaned them up a little bit. Enjoying the extra space in the flower tent but know I need to work a few other plants in there. Ch#2 is 21 days ahead of PLT x LL. Trying to stay with this 21 day cycle stuff can be tough.
Went ahead and chopped the trufflez f2. It has the type of nug feel that I think it’ll dry into dense, small nugs. It came down around 62-63 days. It didn’t stretch much and didn’t branch out at all once it hit flower. Perhaps a user error so she will be run once or twice more. Not an overly impressive frame, but the colors are nice and it’s been easy to grow. Absolutely disgusting smell haha it’s sickeningly sweet. Like way too much perfume. It does have some deeper sort of notes but everything is perfumey. Cherries and wine and intense floral funk. Not unhappy with this plant but I’m not quite happy with it either. (I’m holding the plant at the base so it’s cramped together…it didn’t grow that tight)
Smoking on TS x SSDD #3 lately. The nugs are all almost wider than they are tall. It’s cured into a bit of a rotten orange smell. I definitely get orangey citrus with some skunky orange flavors. It’s become much smoother but still has a similar expansive feel that #2 did. After smoking through most of the SSDD f2 I grew, I’m starting to get a better feel for the SSDD side of the high. #3 shares a lot in common in terms of effects with SSDD f2. I get the ‘dreamy’ descriptions. Makes your head feel light and it slows you down while speeding time up haha. I think pheno #3 and #4 were close enough that I’ll run #3 once or twice more but I find myself wishing I had kept pheno #4 instead. They’re very similar so it could just be that I want what I don’t have. Either way, I’ve been really happy with pheno #3 for now. Now that I know how it grows I think the next round will be nice.
#1 is just so solid. One goal here(as it has been for over a year) is to find a more OMG leaning plant from the eternal sunshine f2s and then take that boy and this girl and let them be. Back to the sun-fecta. Anyway here’s a shot of #1 for fun.
Veg shots coming in time. Tossed atomic PB and j unfortunately. It became rootbound and started to flower so I transplanted it and it went all wonky continuing to try to flower. Tossed 2 emperor haze ix males yesterday. Have two females and one that isn’t showing. Tossed the male PLT x LL. One female remains.

Trufflez had small enough nugs that some lowers are about ready. I’m finishing my first joint of it now. I’m quite surprised. I think I might really enjoy it. Don’t tell. It’s a pretty unique experience for me, if nothing else. Maybe I’ll get over it or maybe it’ll change as it finishes dry and gets a cure, but I’m surprised. Effects wise it’s got a really happy, chill feel. Little giggly. Feels like the high that people stereotype stoners for, if that makes sense. I don’t particularly want to focus on anything serious but could get into something I enjoy. No clue length of effects yet. Smells so wild. Really funky, dirty floral smells. Very intense smells and very unique. While grinding it up my partner said it smelled like really good orange chicken(Chinese food). And there are definitely citrus notes but I don’t notice those as much in smell as I do the flavor. Super satisfying flavor. Jammy aftertaste with some sour notes in there. Citrus, lavender or something like bergamot maybe? It’s just unique. I’m still not a fan of how it grew this first round but I am excited to give it another go and see what happens. Pics coming as it finishes it’s dry and whatnot. Same for Maze.
Maze samples are great. I’ll wait to do more of a write up on those but it’s really nice. Alertness without paranoia, almost instant body/pain relief, very stimulating while also muscle relaxing for me. It isn’t one I’m trying to smoke before bed so I haven’t tried it too many times yet. I need to spend more time with it but it seems to last a few hours with so little come down that you just…feel normal again after awhile. I mixed a little with some TS x SSDD and really really enjoyed that high this morning. The added potency was really nice but there was enough maze to keep it really ‘up’. I do think I’ll hash a fair bit of it to increase the potency a bit without needing to worry about changing the high.
Tents are groovy. Just nothing super new going on so I don’t feel like showing more pictures of the same veg plants that have been around for 6 months(too. long.). And there are only four plants in flower right now. Taking one down soon and putting three in it’s place… so. Party on. I will be putting few(or maybe a lot) eternal sunshine f2 in dirt tomorrow and getting them big enough to grab one clone then flip. That’ll be on its own in a 4x2. Beginning a search, if you will. Just a couple shots of the PLt x LL tonight since another week passed. Turns out the last remaining in veg was a male. So 2F : 3M in the 5 seeds.
Long stacker. Definitely the more appealing one. Still a strange chocolatey/citrus smell at the moment
Short and lumpy. Not much smell yet. They’re both at roughly 28 days
Plus a little goji ghash x unicorn poop shot. Leafy but nice. I think maybe I mixed this soil in a way I don’t recall. Smells really nice, but was less leafy when I made seeds with this same cut. It also started flowering outdoors for 10-14 days so maybe the sunlight did something to it. Either way it’s very very dense, smells very very nice. Sort of sweet flowers and incense. Maybe a melon smell in there? Happy with this cut and excited to get to know it better.

Goji ghash x unicorn poop. Taken somewhere around 67 days. Excited to get another round of this in flower. Smells really nice but it’s hard to place. While it is a little leafy this round, you can see how the middle and lower nugs are somewhat ‘finger’ like. Not foxtaily, but finger-like. Will check back in with this one.

Close up of the stranger pheno of the Purple Lemon Thai x Lucky Lime. Seems to be a little sensitive on feed? I’ve noticed a few yellow tips but it’s only been over the course of two days, so it could have been a response to a dry back or something else. Will keep an eye on it.
I’ve been of out of sorts this week. I had a job switch that is ultimately a great thing, but my schedule is very different and it’s taken me this week to get on top of it.
