Loast coast on buds

hello there new member just wanted to say hi and see if anyone has experience with loast coast on buds

we have some unwanted gifts from someone we thought was a friend lol… russet mites , they were sent on cuts knowingly.
but we battled them head on with some losses but diversity wins almost every time!
so the question is has anyone got experience cropping buds sprayed with loast coast ? the buds I tested harvested while in spray cycle definitely have some residue left after drying tho I did not bud wash. I’m hoping after a 2-3 week period with no sprays the residue will break down on its own.if I have to I can wash them tho I prefer not to unless there’s mold, russets work from bottom up and we just toss the lowers in this case anyhow, the tops are what matter for our patients. tks ahead of time for any input and great to meet y’all! I’ll add this to my front page and leave Yas with a peek at what we do at the hoppie farm!

I find it’s a smart policy to pre-treat any inbound cuttings with a pesticide/miticide and a fungicide before they go near other plants.

If it’s a soap and oil preparation like I assume Lost Coast is, there will be some residue. Soap and oil don’t evaporate, though the volatile essential oils that are probably in it will.

Russet mites are not going to be easy to get rid of without pesticides and you should assume everything in your grow is infected. Plenty of professional strength acaricides available. If the cuttings had russets you should also assume they are potentially infected with other pests.

I observed what seemed to be a russet gargling with lost coast spitting it back out giving me the finger and mooning me.
Russets are tough. I eliminated all living material. Sad but true.

I’m here bro, dialed in, but I can’t help here. Thank God I have no experience with any mites so I’ve not used the stuff.
:facepunch: good luck man.

The best treatment in veg to actually rid them is a product called saffoil x it will kill them for good but not available in Canada, so sulpher and Spinosad and soaps and frass sprays daily in rotation will have to do, after all seems clear for a month I will bring in predators to be sure the issue is cleared up. I was hoping to chat with someone about flower quality after harvesting treated buds.i believe the issue is taking care of itself over time :crossed_fingers:
