I heard a guy the other day saying how he wraps his seeds in banana skins to germinate. I figger BS. But one never knows.

I’ve heard hot tap water, hot as it gets, and some pretty funky things, fairly sure some were intentional bad advice… but germination techniques have come a long way.

All I’ve ever seen too much heat do is kill the beans.
I know, you ‘heard’, not tried, lol which I think is a good thing!
That just sounds like it falls under the intentional bad advice column, cuz.
An example of… I actually had a bud-tender in a shop here in Tulsa tell me and another person he uses RedBull ,and the plants loved it! 
… needless to say, we walked out of there without selling them our buddage!!

I soak mine in Muriatic acid for three hours. Never more, never less. Then I gently use an angle grinder to slightly open the seed. After that it’s straight into extremely soaked soil in a solo cup with a lid on it.
Works every time. 100%
