Long term storage

Hi. I had a great harvest this year (with problems of course)
Has anyone used a food saver/ seal a meal to store properly cured flowers? What would you recommend for long term storage?
Help.

Freeze the stuff, can’t beat it.
Put it in a seal a meal and freeze .

I have a sealer that you can adjust how much Vacuum is sucked from bag, I only remove enough air so the bag does not crush the buds. Then I double seal another over, into the freezer.
I have smoke 5 yr old bud just as good from the deep freeze, just need to be careful how you handle them the trichomes become very brittle and fall off.

Ask me in a private message how I hide the packages in plain site

It is amazing that when the bags are removed and opened the bud still has bag appeal LOL

I need to start doing this. A couple ounces of my oldest bud is a brownish-green colour now and I am pretty sure it is mostly CBN because when I smoke it I feel nauseous and dizzy, then sleepy.

I am actually tempted to throw it in the garbage.

You are correct, old weed will degrade over time if not stored properly , Weed left out in the light is the worst will degrade very quickly. I have some too I use it for sleep med.

Yeah I wanted to see what the big thing was about storing in jars so I tried it won’t do it no more.

Take it out of the freezer still taste fresh.
This will be May to mid November starting to get to be a bit yek

Mine is in sealed jars with 62% humidity packs, in a dark closet - I just think the oxygen, temperature (“room” temp), and time (nearly a year) have all played their roles.

Nope. No mold. Just old.

I learned that the hard way. The first bag way to much suction crushed it badly. I have the hang of it now. Thanks for your advice. It’s great to be able to ask a question and not be called stupid. I really enjoy this forum.
P.S. my sealer is not adjustable. I have a old one but I just stop it when the bag looks good.

Should I reopen the ones that are a little smashed down just barely crushed?

To be honest I do it that way too, I am the adjustment nut LOL
I did it the 1st time and crushed them and the dry stems punctured the plastic on a bag or too and I did not notice it until I removed from freezer. It is all a learning process , never feel silly asking questions that is what we do here.

This is this years grow. Fresh and cured.

If they are not crushed down I would not worry about it myself
You just want them to retain the bud shape and not hockey pucks
