Looking for reasonably priced forsythia sapplings(or any other fast growing shrub that makes for decent natural privacy fencing.) Doing a bunch of landscaping for my mom and she asked me to ask my weed friends about the plant stuff.
Forsythia is a good choice for propagating, reasonably easy for a woody plant.
Iād throw a couple blackberry canes in that hedge too.
Cheers

I have a chaste bush/tree from cutting i just plopped into the ground about a week ago after being in a 5 gal bucket for about 2/3 months. If that is of any interest to you, i can try to root a few cuttings from that once she gets a little more comfortable
After looking them up she says thatās amazing and she would absolutely love a couple cuts. Neither of us had even heard of them, but man theyāre some pretty bushes.
Sounds good! Ill let you know once ive got a couple. Do you prefer them rooted or fresh cut?
They are also regarded very highly for medicinal qualities!
Whichevers easiest to ship. Do you root them the same as weed clones. She said they remind her of a cross between a butterfly bush and a lilac.
I have caragana surrounding my yard and it is tough as nails. TIL it is called Siberian Pea shrub.

My moms super cool, doesnāt get high at all, hates it. But insists I save my fan leaves for her gross green smoothies.
I have not personally rooted one, but it seems they will root just about any way you want.
If u want privacy, look into oleanders they grow fast and can create a wall real quick
That sounds dope. Dm inbound
Iām all about edible landscapes, get some high bush blueberries. Or if you donāt mind trying to control the spread, raspberries and blackberries grow and spread quick.
I actually suggested berries(blueberries though) but my mom said she has not had much success with them anytime she tried.
They need acidic soil, if they didnāt work there, check out honey berry or huckleberry .
Otherwise, like me, make a raised bed and fill with peat and added drainage (fine pine bark or even sand). Then use an acid lovers fertilizer.
