lol yeah that’ll do it, especially on the newer, computer ran models.
Get the air flow messed up and the thing runs ragged as 3-legged dog, or worse… not at all!
Yeah man! Missing and skipping. Terrible rough idle. No gas milage. Then it just wouldn’t start at all. Of course it’s been hot and I don’t do hot anymore so it took total death for me to be motivated enough to really find the issue!
Edit: I do walking in the heat even less than working on the car in the heat!
Yeah, lol that’s about the only good thing(?) about these computer ran things nowadays. You do a buncha crap like turn on the lights, turn off the AC, beep the horn twice, etc( ) and get a code pop up, then ya can go look up the code to find your problem. smh
lol oh don’t forget to hit the brake pedal 3 times fast
Yeah I have a generic code reader. It was more of a hands on approach with just a general idea of what to look for. Kinda like searching in the dark… but with a dim flashlight!
In other NDNCHILD screw up news!
I left the valve on the tank my dehum pumps into open last night. So it’s now doing double duty pulling water out of the carpet until lights on when I go in with the carpet cleaner! Wooo hoooo!
I’d be more upset but I’ve been here before!
Any new hydro system builders out there?
Here’s a tip! If your reservoir isn’t big enough to handle ALL of the water in your system use check valves! If the power goes out your buckets will flow back to the res and overflow. Good times!! Lots of wet stuff!
My limited experience with FAST photos is that they are just long vegging autos. I grew Tropicana poison fast outdoors and both times it started flowering beginning of July. Now as I understand the first gen of a photo/ auto cross will all be fast photos. Is that correct? And did the bastard gene take on all of the offspring or did they have to hunt it? It’s such a unique plant I’m really curious.
I’m also very interested. It’s still outside of my full understanding though. I thought my veg closet was magic or something. I’ve had a few from OG on this run that want to be fast or auto. The ISS has been flowering on 18/6. Also the AC/DC male the CPBB male and the Black Triangle Kush male all grew balls… full pods on 18/6. Now when I moved them to the Lads Lair and put them on 11/13 they all flowered faster and started dropping pollen within a week but they were growing balls on 18/6. That’s why I was asking if maybe it was a male thing. I always kill them early. I’m kinda new to letting them go all the way. @middleman your ABC cross was dropped at the same time and took almost 2 weeks on 12/12 to throw those pistols. Honestly I thought it was the greenest dead plant I’ve ever seen. It just sat still for a while then started growing again and threw pistols!
I tried cloning the photo bastard I grew last summer. Had several beautiful plants in 1 gallon containers late spring. Gave a few out and kept 2. Every one of them started flowering late June then mid July tried to reveg and all of them died. I had friends in Florida and Ohio growing the clones and same results. This was from a plant I grew from seed and did wonderful albeit under artificial light for 3/4 of her life. Named her Twinkie cuz the buds smelled like Twinkies. Surprisingly potent to.
I tried to clone this ISS. It rooted well but tried to flower at 3 inches tall and also died.
I’ve been thinking about your fast photos being long vegging autos comment and that’s about right for the males I mentioned above. They didn’t start to flower at 3-4 weeks like the autos I’ve played with so far but definitely flowered on a veg light cycle. About the same time other photos planted at the same time started to show sex.
Damn, I shoulda asked about the light timing! Sorry brother! We use 24/7 in veg, so had no problems like that. I honestly haven’t had as much experience with autos as a lot of folks have.
Fast photos, to my understanding, are just plants that’ve gone partway through the auto-making process.
No worries my friend! This is all just one big learning conversation. I’m never gonna be an expert at anything. I just like to grow stuff and find all the little nuances interesting. In reality for me each plant is gonna be what it is and I enjoy them all until I kill it early or smoke it!
Regarding ISS flowering in 18/6, I have two in veg cycle, 18/6. There are 8 strains. Of all of them, (30), only one is showing beginnings of flowering — one of the two ISS. So perhaps it’s a trait of one of the ISS phenos to be thus disposed. But still, I’d not bet against your tent being magic!
@BigMike55 might weigh in on this? He’s grown a good bit of ISS. Like you say brother, it could be strain specific. 18hr of light shouldn’t cause flowering, but I’m not gonna rule it out. lol
18 hrs of light may be too much to induce flowering, in my opinion. I usually see pre flowers about 3-4 weeks in. at 18/6. Then I veg her at that light schedule until she about half as big as I want her to get. Then flip lights to 12 on and 12 off.
But that’s just me
Addendum. I see what your saying now. Tiny pic on my phone.
I HAVE had them start flowering early like that. Not to the point of making buds tho.
U guys should check out my pumpkin
Here’s mine before the nitrogen primer came in. She’s getting some color back now. This is her in the auto box on 18/6. I took these pics about a week ago before I moved her to the big tent on 12/12 so I could start a new run of autos in the box. At the point the pics were taken she’s only ever seen 18/6. Under 2 foot tall and never stretched. Just started to flower. I like weird stuff! I seem to get a lot of it too! @BigMike55
“Practice……It makes you better at shit.”
I think I got that right.
This morning’s collection!
Good morning OG! 🪶🪶
Sorry I can’t comment except to say, hmmm, never saw that one before.
Is that my ISS fems? Can’t figger it out. They are regular fems. Not auto fems. Hmmmm.
Yup! I picked them up from Johnny.
Nothing to be sorry about bro! I like finding oddities!
I don’t know what she’ll turn out like but I do know she started stacking frost before the pistols came out! should still be a good one! @BigMike55
