Lung room humidifier

The one I linked is a wicking filter evaporative humidifier so the filters should do the trick to avoid issues. Also I am not confident in installing the RO system you linked to my basement sink. I had a plumber do my RO in the kitchen and that was a cost. Also I own my home and pay for water and sewage so this would raise my bill even more so. I’d be better off going tankless because of less waste on the water. Now I’m looking at a grand all in. I’d prefer to avoid that.

Completely comprehend where you are coming from. Wicking is better yes, however when i factored in the coast of replacement filters, time refilling the res and it having to constantly run just trying to keep up with the set point, i retired my wicking unit it now collects dust in the attic, i think; if i still have it you are welcome to it if you like.

Lemme go check real quick

I have a garden hose right in the basement so it’s less work than running upstairs and doing a gallon at a time from my tank to system  . Thank you for the offer but I’m going to try this out and if it sucks, I can just return it on Amazon.

Actually I got a very cheap tankless RO that I’m going to set up instead of the humidifier. They make it seem fool proof as far as installing. This should solve a lot of my woes as far as filling up the humidifiers. I hope.

I was playing with using my dimmer switch on the LED’s , to pump more, or less water through the solar fountain. Would add some humidity, I’d think, LOL!

This is the biggest cost and annoyance with the evap humidifiers. If you can find those Natural Breeze replacements for the humidifier you chose, you should be SOLID!

You do have to take them out and clean them regularly, but that’s better than buying the wicks. I clean mine every week or so. Their instructions suggest using a mild acid/industrial vinegar. Personally I soak mine in distilled white cleaning vinegar for a hour, rinse them out, and there good to go again. I actually bought two sets, and after at least two years, I have yet to crack open the second set of wicks.

If the reusable wicks are not available for your machine, I would check out what filters they have and maybe see what humidifiers are available for them.
