LzBoy's Lounge - Perpetually growing OG beans

Rain is looking so happy here today! I can tell she gets a lot of love

I recently learned that superhot peppers (Capsicum chinense) take extra long compared to milder varieties like Jalapeño & bell pepper (Capsicum annuum). Stuff like Ghost peppers, Habanero, Scorpion, etc. So I would expect you to have some mind melting heat late in the summer! :seedling: :hot_pepper: :exploding_head:

On my peppers, I pluck off the blossoms until they get well established with a few weeks in the ground and about 12in tall or taller. If you let the first blossoms make fruit, the plant growth will slow down and it focuses energy on making the fruit.

Ahh good to know. This is my first time trying anything besides weed. So many first :green_heart: it.

Man, those plants are thriving! Well done!

Same thing for tomatoes. I pluck off blossoms on those until they are about 18in tall, but maybe better just to leave the early blossoms on your tomatoes since they are in small containers. They will outgrow the containers pretty quick.

I’d say give er a shot of magnesium.
Little bit of Epsom salt dissolved in the water should do the trick!

Outa dam likes again, but this is a classic reason to start a journal…
Freekin epsom salt! 🤦🤦🤦🤦
I forgot to add silica first the last 2 feedings, and what else… ES!
Thanks Blowout and helluva eye :eyes::joy:

Yes definitely

Glad to read that Rain is doing better

Gypsum is soluble calcium sulfate in water
Epsom is mag sulfate in water
Dolomite Lime breaks down to provide mag in soil
Gypsum, same as above but in soil

Just some easy tips

Be careful, the Gypsum is very cal dense…

Nice grow report, i hope your doggy is doing fine. What is the actual prognosis of the vet?
Arthritis?

Teddy and I are sending our best wishes for a quick recovery…wuff

@blowdout2269 is right. It’s not calcium missing, that would result in rust spots on the leaves.
It is magnesium deficiency. Luckily you’ll be able to get rid of that within days of spraying epsom salts.
I use a gram on a litre of water and spray till everything is lush green.
After that just add it like you planned and they should be fine.
It’s probably better to tackle it with ES instead of getting the calcium from the calmag too.

I’ve had a sneaky look in your stash box and couldn’t find any guerilla fumé in it yet…sing out if you want some!
Cheers,stiffy

Hi OG.
Unfortunately our precious Rain made the trip over the rainbow bridge. We tried our best. But in the end. As we all know, being animal lovers. We have to make the tough decision.
Just going to chill with Mrs.Lz and put the tablet down for the night.
.
RIP Rainypoo :disappointed_relieved:

Good night OG :green_heart:
