I got it all from digikey on the net ( I think place called ) apart from my pointiometers ( eBay ) and the cable tray ( local electrical trade shop )
Awesome; thanks for having me, my pleasure 100%.
Thanks for sharing; I want to try to do mapito and build these too.
You should check out the " I found my roots in Mapito " topic , heās knockin it out the park : )
Only when Iām not changing things around lol.
Do it @pie you will love it. I would recommend following the feed schedule also.
Like these on Amazonā¦
Yes , I remember you buying them , how do I know which one to go for ???
Iām using these. My voltage can exceed the voltage display limit of 100v. No harm. Amps and Watts display fine.
@Mr.Sparkle may have a more solid suggestion
I just use an AC power meter you plug into your wall outlet, had it for a decadeā¦ Works
Hey yo. Can i ask you why arenāt you happy with them, where is the problem?
ppfd levels are lower than I thought. Even overdriven to max. Heat sinks are hot as fuck even with drivers not maxed out. could be my airflow though, not sure.
And I currently have 2+1 lights out of commission because of the wires frying/twisting. Could have been my fault but Iāve already had 4 lights total fail on me. One was replaced for free (had a shit ton of corrosion on the connections, green af) in the past.
Proprietary cords so I canāt buy them elsewhere, shipping from USA to Canada is expensive as fuck (I still havenāt replaced them after weeks)
Specifically the old solsheets I bought before I got 8 racks. Neither built by me. The wires leading from the driver to the light ended up getting twisted as fuck because the cord is too thick for the junction box thing (the cord for the racks is much thinner so untwisting the bottom actually works) when with this light you canāt even unscrew the junction box without the cords getting seriously twisted.
This was on 2 sheets sharing one driver so the one light that was getting too hot+the bare wires Iām shit outta luck and have to shelf both lights cuz I canāt use one on a shared driver or risk using bare wires.
I also have a solstrip rack that crapped out on me recently too. This one doesnāt share a driver so itās only the one that doesnāt work but because my second set of 2 solsheets also share a driver I had to take down both the racks and replace them with 2 sheets even though one of the racks still works.
I came down to my grow one day to realize one of the 2 racks under one of my trays wasnāt on. At first I though, god damn shitty wifi āsmart plugā so I pressed the button on it and still nothing. Thought the plug was toast so I unplugged it and plugged the driver directly into the socket and still nothing. I noticed the cord where the light itself attaches to the driver was extremely hot, so I unplugged the thing and waited for it to cool down. I tried to unscrew the cap that attaches to the light but it was basically melted shut. I had to use force to pull it out and one of the pins ripped out and both sides looked like they were burnt/arcing.
This could very well partially/all my fault but after spending so much money Iām not really happy with the reliability Iāve experienced so far. Especially because moneyās tight now and I wonāt be able to afford the cords for awhile now (which means my veg area is now non existent because I have to use my older sheets not meant for that room because I have nothing else.)
I can take a few pics of the cords if you want to see the difference in thickness (why the sheets got twisted I think) and the racks didnāt.
See the difference in thickness between the cords for the sheets and the racks? This junction box thing is so tight around the thick cords and even when the bottom part is unscrewed it will still twist the wires. Pic one is from one of the sheets, see the junction o ring is so tight that even with force I canāt even pull it down the cord without it trying to come out the other end.
Pic 2 is comparing the thickness of the cords on the racks (left) vs sheets (right) as you can see the o right is already partially out.
Pic 3 is showing 2 of the cords leading from a driver that shares 2 lights (2 solsheets)
sorry @ifish didnāt mean to take over ya thread with my complaining
Work away @neogitus , all info and experience is welcome here : )
Young hawaian snow mums , training hard , banging out the cuts , only 8 -9 inches from top of the pot : )
Great looking plants my friend
Those look great for clones
Amazing
They would do well in one of your octos paps : )
Iāll trim them tonite and fire some pics of the aftermath : ) I donāt need any cuts and they gonna hit lights any day now : )
I let them go for another day growth and took cuts of each and made 2 X 8 different cuts multi pucks lol ( all HS )
Mums back down to 4 inches above pot , ready for next wave of cuts in 2w : )
These look happy and healthy man. Is the 1st pic a before and 2nd pic the after after taking cuts?
