Hello everyone! Do you use the TSL-2000?
TSL-2000 led grow light:
Wattage - 300w
Veg Coverage - 3x5 ft
Flower Coverage - 2x4 ft
The overwhelming choice for most growers applying in grow tent, small room, cabinet & closet, and plant shelves.
@MarsHydro i have some questions i would like you to answer before i buy two TS1000 instead of going diy. How is the heat development from TS1000, does the majority of heat come from the lights or the driver? Can you detach the driver and run them outside the tent instead of inside? Ive used you lights before and I really like em, but the ts models are new to me.
I could answer that one as im testing out a new ts1000, Heat generation isn’t much with the driver being the hottest obviously ambient air temp and airflow around the light come into play but for myself when at max the driver gets to 45c ish an the panel is about 35c, and yeah you can detach the driver but the dimmer has to go along with it and would of been nice if the plate that holds it could go along with the driver and dimmer but it can’t due to the panel wiring bulkhead being attached to that plate plus that’s where they put the hang points instead of on the panel but you get about another 4+ft of range moving the driver and dimmer if you wanted.
Saying that relocating the driver i don’t believe is necessary at all.
Thank you very much for the information. Im thinking of using this light in a very tight space 1x1x2 and what im worried about is the heat development. So my thought is to have the driver outside the space for a slimmer light and less heat in the grow space. I wont use the full 150w of power since this would fry my plants.
Do you think it would be possible to attach a water heatsink to the driver to be able to control water temps for the reservoir?
The TS1000’s light board is capable of dissipating heat quickly. If you feel the temperature is too high, you can turn the light off for a few minutes and run it again. By the way, our labor day sale coming soon, you can use code MarsOG to save an extra 3% off.
I have a question about the FC_E8000 it is advertised as 800w light was measured at 782 W but there have seen reports of it coming with a 730w driver and pulling 730W from the wall
Hello. Please don’t worry about this problem. The input power of FC-E8000 is 800 watts and the output power is 730 watts. The wattage you tested should be the power at the output.
