I watched my old man day trade and that’s why I won’t. I have a lot of respect for those that do though it’s a lot stress, and tons of research and understanding so many different avenues. No respect for the wall street bets crowd though. That’s legit gambling!

So this guy is wild n. I used my self as a way to try and verify it was him. But all I got out of it was an angry old man threatening me now with legal action. I mean do we owe dead men anything. I’m just in awe with how absolutely bat shit whoever this is, is going about things. Like if it is Thai. I kind of thought it was him. But a quick google search could yield the info, he used. And one can buy a burner and then register it from wherever, I think at this point it would be better for him to be a scammer than the actual Thai.

I’ve only been casually watching this thread, kind of reading posts here and there, had a few laughs along the way, but is this what “Master Thai” did? Started a rumor that he had died? This hasn’t been the easiest thread to get a grip on, but I guess that’s what happened?
So, what? BOG died, everybody started clamoring for his seeds and “Master Thai” figured,”Oh, shit, if that’s what happens when a breeder dies, maybe I can drum up interest in my seeds if I claim to be dead, too…”? Kind of like how a lot of great artists died broke, only to have their art finally appreciated (and bought for huge sums) after their death.
What a joke. And it seems like a lot of people fell for it. So good on “Master Thai”? I guess? I’m actually really impressed haha!
This, to me, seems like the natural end-point of everybody who’s only real motivation for buying seeds is to post pictures of the packs they got on IG and everywhere else and maybe, at some point, grow them out (maybe), all in an effort to be like,”Got my Master Thai seeds! Jealous???” and see how many “likes” and “thumbs-ups” they can garner.
If you weren’t growing somebody’s gear before they died (or fake-died), but then felt compelled to buy their gear after they “died,” I don’t really know what to make of that… But this thread is AWESOME.

I started growing the Uncle Festers Skunk 18 and then actively sought his gear through people that collected it. It also accelerated my want for them when I learned he was dead and the possibility of not being able to get them direct loomed.
But yes this is a standard tactic used by many. And it does work. It’s just odd to use these preservation runs as an outlet to gain reputation again.
I wanted to preserve these and give back to people with them. But alas the second money got involved I should have known better. Just should of done my runs and let fate take care of the rest. Lesson learned the hard way on maybe part. Don’t use my excitement as a way to get others excited. As some get a little to excited.

I just meant in general, if the only reason you’re buying someone’s gear now is because they’re dead, that’s kinda fucked up. But you (and talking about you specifically here) obviously have experience with Master Thai’s genetics and like them, so I get it.
Yep. Weirdness begins as soon as money gets involved, especially when it’s with people you only “know” via the internet.

I didn’t sign up, because I would never sign up for a group buy, and I’ve only been tangentially following this one, but I did start re-reading this thread, just for laughs, and when I got to “OneLoveMT”’s first post (that one’s a classic), I clicked on the name and saw that they’ve been suspended for “threatening legal action against OG.” So, uh, yeah, that’s pretty fucked up. Don’t think the buy’s happening, dude haha.
And I may just get the fuck off of OG now. Lot of weirdness going on…
