So I do think that is Master Thai. I’ve communicated with him several times over the years, and his writing style and mannerisms fit.
From past experience, it can be a challenge to put together something.
I think the whole Master Thai is dead thing started as a way to rebrand, and then after some health issues as a way to get out of the business, and ride off into the proverbial sunset.
I’ve liked all his gear I have ran so for those interested it may be worth the efforts to put something together.

Those who were here first will get taken care of first. Once the original receivers get there’s their will be more than enough to go around. And I’m sure they will continue to pop up here and there once they are done. But at this point I will and do not want any thing besides the free sharing of these from this point on. At least if I’m involved. Not looking for people to have more reason to try and have at me.

So from what I can gather, This guy (Unconfirmed if real Master Thai, though from looking through his previous interactions on other forums I do believe it is the same person) claims he wanted to “Kill off” the Master Thai moniker and be done with that phase of his life, so he made up the claim he died. But I think you’re onto something else that happened, because if that’s really what he wanted to do he wouldn’t be in here still trying to sell shit based on his MT name, he would have already done that. Though I also don’t think this is a long con just to jack up his brand’s value, I think it’s a combination of things of him wanting out of seed making (for various reasons, mostly stemming from drama centered around his personal life) and has since just seen the opportunities to cash in on the emotions that created.
I dunno. People like his stuff, which is fine, but as a person the dude seems all over the place, and is constantly in a shit fight with somebody. It just feels like that old saying where if you run into one person who’s an asshole, you met an asshole. If everyone you meet is an asshole, you might be the asshole.

just wanted to point out that account also threatened to sue me, and the site as a whole, as well as some other vague aggressive shit talking.
their over-reaction when they found out I am from the bay area and had experience with some of the strains in question is a textbook move for these scammers.
Just look at the way other scammers have tried to discredit well known local growers from the areas they claim to be affiliated with. Anyone with any first hand knowledge is a threat to their bullshit story, so scammers will go after them hard.

Well, whatever it is, it’s been a pure joy to watch haha. I’ve always just figured, you know, I’ll buy seeds from reputable seed banks that I know are legit. If they don’t have the seeds I’m interested in, I guess I won’t be growing that particular cross. I’ll live.

Anyone and everyone say this man is dead. Hundreds of folks interacting with him for years on a forum can yield similar context in verbiage. I need a third party confirmation that it is him. Then I’ll do whatever is necessary to secure genetics. But until the verbatim is diluted then I can do nothing but think this is just a close association or frequent friends of his trying to use his death to their advantage. As many have told me. His wife would of been the last emails out from the contact. As she took over things per the website telling us. Idk at this point.

There were multiple sock accounts making similar threats which didn’t make it into the forum. Some of those accounts claiming to be Master Thai. Some claiming to be an apprentice or something along those lines (all with the imperfect diction). Each one making threats and thrashing about.
Many of the legitimacy questions could have been resolved, or at least make the stories that he’s throwing about more believable, by proving he has control of what he claims he controls. The Akita site that I assume he controls since that’s his claimed passion. Throw up a canary or swap the space weather link to something else.
Interact with the community more, instead instant ‘I have seeds to sell to you’.
I’ve retired, then it’s dead, then resurrected, then wants to retire again.
Or maybe not.
In the end, I’m not interested in dealing with this individual even if he is really the M. Thai. While he claims to hold certain cultivars of interest, there are plenty of other genetics to chase down.
