Maui mango haze

What’s Biolive? It’s an inoculant? It says it’s derived from fish, kelp, crustacean etc. Why are you adding that to your soil? Doesn’t your mix already have all of that stuff in it? I’d probably just get something like OG Biowar or Bioag VAM and add it to my soil mix.

They might not be as readily available as they would be once your soil’s like six months or a year old, but they’ll be available. You’re using malted barley too, right? The enzymes in that should break your mix down and make everything more readily available anyway.

It is a nute mix innoculated with the bios. I used it instead of the seperate meals for this soil mix to see how it works. It should be basically the same with a few different ingredients.

I need to pick up some malted barley as I recently ran out. I may sprout some of the barley I have and water the tea in for a similar result (hopefully).

Ah, okay, so it’s like a pre-mixed amendment thing? With the mycorrhizae already added? Yeah, I guess that’d work, too, although I just looked up langbeinite and it says the NPK ratios are 0-0-22. Does that sound right? For something with levels that high, you may actually wanna let that sit for a month, I don’t really know. I don’t use anything with NPK levels higher than five or six; 22 sounds really high.

Also, you’re adding rock dust, yeah? Basalt or something?

Yes sir. I add basalt and azomite (until I can get glacial rock dust). I reduced the level of azomite and added extra kelp meal for the micro nutes.

I also add the gypsum and oyster shell flour.

Following along, great discussion here. @minitiger , don’t let organic put you off. ‘Being 100% Organic’, and growing ‘organically’, are very similar. So, you don’t have to rely 100% on the soil to do everything for you indoors. Certain bottles can still be your friend, and in many cases will be necessary to carry a ‘solid’ harvest in a small ‘organic’ container. Think microbes and enzymes. Or, get a good source for mbp and kelp.

For me, the worm farm is the key. here is where the goodness hides. And the more you have, the better.

In full disclosure, I am still learning alot of this as I go. So, take all this with a grain;)

But, in soil, longer veg, bigger final container = bigger buds for me. Smaller pot, smaller plant.

Seems in coco, skies the limit, gonna have to give that a go some day.

What? I’m the one advocating for 100% organic growing haha. That’s the only way I’ve grown for like six years.

I used to share my opinions more-

Some people actually get pissed off when some internet jackass starts ruffling feathers.

So I usually try to keep quiet :grinning:

Update-

The taller one is 30 inches, short one is 21 inches. 12-12 from seed.

I spotted the lower fans starting to fade. Gave them a shut of calmag, a drink of guano tea, and top dressed.

And, the taller one-

Looking excellent decent plant size with no veg time . Always wanted to go to straight flower from seed . Always some issue with the tiny plants so I veg and end up with 6 ft monsters

Thanks-

I recently ran a few autos, and ended up with a tiny bud on a stick-

I know a lot of people here love growing huge autos…

Maybe I’m better off sticking to what I know-

Man, they started to fade quick when I ran them. My nighttime temps were kinda low, so that could’ve had an impact. I think the main thing the breeder was looking for was speed.

I was planning on going 12/12 from seed because I thought a Maui Wowie x Mango Haze would get huge, but they don’t. I vegged for 3-4 weeks and up potted them to 2 gal when I flipped them. They all finished around 3 1/2’ - 4’ tall.

Those plants really look good man. My grow has some issues, and I’ve been wanting to see how they did in a better environment. Looks like they’ll do pretty good.

@Sebring sent me some. And I popped every single one. They are in solos. I do a genetics event Sunday and each one will be given away to folks that visit my table. Shout out to who ever made these.

I am growing MMH. I ended up with two females. They are 6 weeks into flower. One has a little smell like fruity. The other I was watering a few days and put my noise by the other I almost :face_vomiting: It shouldn’t smell like that should it?
