Meesh's Garden of Weeden 2022

This year, I think I’m going to veg with just agrothrive. It’s a 3-3-3 fish emulsion that I’ve grown to love on my regular flowers. Maybe just guano for the containers in flower. Or I may get crazy and use the agrothrive for flowers. Didn’t do any container grows in flower last year. Usually I have a fertilizer plan

I grow Kush for the men. I can’t tolerate. Too strong for me. Grew out an azad Kashmir last year that I can’t touch either. Way too strong. Not sure why I’m such a wuss, been smoking for 30 years. You’d think that I would be able to smoke like Cheech and Chong at this point

Yeah it’s definitely a bed time smoke. I’m the opposite to you. Sativa gets my heart racing and has me tripping hearing stuff. It’s funny that c99 is sativa leaning but they high for me at least doesn’t last to long then the stone hits and I just watch TV then fall asleep. I guess we all are effected differently.

I’ve also come to realize that anything with Thai genetics lights my pain centers up like a game of operation. Not sure why, but it’s horrible for me.

I’ve gotten more tolerant to some indica dominant hybrids these days though I’ve noticed. I had a volunteer from a herm last year. Og Kush and ufs 18 and I had zero issues with it. Kush hybrids seem to be okay. Full Kush strains though are major anxiety attacks for me. I do smoke some epic strong sativa’s though. Some that would give anxiety to even the most seasoned stoners.

Grow my bdxck out then
I can’t smoke it as it effects my vision for some reason. People around me seem to love it.

Oh I’ve smoked it. Nice strain. As a matter of fact my girl in the desert just sent me an ounce or two in the mail the other day. It’s one of her absolute faves and has grown it 2 years straight.

It yields huge for such a small plant I reckon it be good for hash and such as she gets frosty.
I’m glad she’s enjoying it. It’s more a commercial profit strain though.

All of my Maui wowie seeds failed last year and she sent me some after harvest time. I expected so much more from it. I didn’t love it like I thought I would. She sent me some mw x ssdd she says it’s much better. I’m gonna smoke some next. I had just rolled a boatload of port wine cheese joints before the package arrived. I’m pretty excited to try it, especially since my girl is washing her bud now. Some previous years her bud was too dirty for me and dad’s spoiled asses to smoke. I didn’t have the heart to tell her.

I think the MW would have made great hash! Would have enjoyed it much more. My man’s buddy makes hash, but I didn’t have enough of it. He made some kick ass hash out of my ufs 18 it is so lemony and delicious

I can’t even tell you how much dirty weed I’ve smoked over the years, but since I started washing my harvest it’s become really noticable if it hasn’t been. I wonder how many bugs and dirt I’ve smoked over the years. It’s actually kinda scary

My first anemone of the year bloomed today. I love the blue center

And my Hot Lips Salvia started blooming. This plant is the only one that blooms randomly in all red, all white or red/white combo flowers. So far the reds are first up

I finally found all white foxgloves. Planted them the other day and they are already starting to form flowers. Nothing much to see yet, but I’ll shoot a pic when the finally bloom.

My garden has basically started over as I actually dug out the majority of my bulbs and planted a bunch of natives and other drought tolerant plants. Everything is still so small and growing in. Quickly realizing that black eyed Susan flowers require shit tons of water, so I may pull them out and put more blanket flowers in there place. Funny my black eyed Susan vine doesn’t require much water, but the regular plants are super high maintenance

Here’s my black eyed Susan vine. It is supposed to be an annual. I thought it would die after one season. I have hacked so much of it off. This is it’s 3rd year going strong. I guess in Cali these never die. It doesn’t even die back a bit. Flowers 365

I love this planter though with all the daisies spilling out below. Gorgeous

I’m a complete weirdo and started some ice plant in a container last year. It grows like weeds here. It’s everywhere as ground cover and erosion control. I just think it’s so bitchen and vibrant though. I’m sitting here watching the first flower open. In a day or two it’s gonna explode as there are a million little flowers forming on it

Just noticed the lady bug kicking it in the pic

Happy spring @Meesh

I couldn’t find the “other plants” thread  & uploading them here would be cruel to the server…

 I wanted to do captions & put them up here but my damn iPhone doesn’t allow me to lower the image resolution & the files start out huge, then stripped of metadata & the app I have made me watch a 5 sec ad for each file :man_facepalming:

Buuuut yeah. No mangos but there’s cacao pods & mandarins :yum: & crazy bromeliads, orchids, & a whole lotta stuff I can’t yet identify.

Cacao is weird; it’s rind is super tough, about 1 cm thick with a bitter pithy inside. The seeds/beans are coated in a gooey blob that looks like snot but tastes kinda like kiwi lime.

A lot of tropical fruit is seeming to be this way— unpredictable interior contents that smell amazing, but look frightening & confuse the first time diner.

The beans have to be sun dried apparently— I put some in water hoping to dissolve the funky goo but they all sprouted.

I guess the coleus needs regular cutting back @Meesh ?

There’s a “blue” banana tree but it’s been ravaged by giant caterpillars :bug: that have like a powdery mildew coating. Nasty buggahz.

Sphagnum peat moss is growing pretty heavily in some places in the lawn so it’s priming my compost pile! :+1:

Thanks for looking, I’ll figure out how to share the pics better but not at the moment‘cuz it’s 347 a.m

Awesome! Love the orchids in the trees. Not sure about the Coleus, it’s an annual here and mine always dies. My guess is to def cut the flowers. Don’t let it bloom. I don’t know on iphone but just crop the photos a tad and they should upload after that.
