Megacrop and Hydrocrunch

Will this work? How much weed can I grow from this? I have feminized Sativa seeds and fabric pots I think they are 5 or 7 gallon.

Anything else I need to know other than follow instructions? My tapwater is hard but I have reverse osmosis for drinking water.

I’m not familiar with either products unfortunately. I will say welcome to the OG! I hope you’ll pop into the introduce yourself thread. It’s a great place for new comers to get involved. There’s a ton of knowledge and some really great growers here who should be able to help you become a most successful grower yourself!

Best of luck with your endeavor! You e come to the right place.

perlite and smaller pots 3g

With coco I would def add perlite or rice hulls and need to stay on top of pH…those kind of amendments might work but still could need to supplement with calmag. Is that coco rinsed and buffered bc will need to do that if not

How much weed is a very loaded question man and depends upon tons of factors like genetics environment medium light intensity blah blah blah. Check out grow weed easy or read a Jorge Cervantes book for simple explanations

My advice would be use it at half strength and then work your way up to full strength over time. (If it needs it) Also as far as the coco, I’d go with a 70/30 ratio of coco and perlite. It says on their website you need to rinse and buffer with pH’d cal-mag solution like any other coco. And then my last advice would be, make sure your ph and EC stays in check. You’ll need to know the electro conductivity with hydro nutrients in coco. That nutrient is pretty ph stable (meaning it won’t drift much after mixing) so good luck! You came to the right place to learn.

PS, there’s no such thing as a stupid question, just an uninformed question. Nobody can tell you how much anything will yield. It depends on which cultivar you’re growing, how much light, nutrients, pot size, training and veg time. Rule of thumb is the plants will grow 1’ per gallon of soil. This doesn’t apply to coco, however. You can get much bigger plants in much smaller pots with coco. I’ve seen TREES grown in 2 gallon coco pots lol. It’s insane. If this is your first grow, I gotta commend you for starting with coco. I grow with soil because it’s so easy lol. Make sure you don’t overwater or underwater, that’s the #1 mistake I see new growers make. Don’t love your plants to death. But also don’t neglect them lol

Great advice from above. Megacrop works very well and shouldn’t need extra calmag during the grow.

I used Mega Crop one part in ProMix HP, 5 gallon pails with GroBuckets, 600w MH/HPS.

My well water’s ppm is ~500, ph 7.5,

I Do Not use ph down or add Cal/Mag and generally follow their feeding schedule >

Every grow is four different strains and I average 2.5 Pounds per grow !

This is a month before harvest >

I’ve just started a grow with a new Phlizon 640w LED, two of my girls will go in 2 1/2 gallon fabric bags with coco coir (25% perlite).

Good luck to us Both

Cheers

I never add CaMg to MegaCrop.

BTW > I’ve grown in 3, 4 and 5 gallon fabric bags and the only noticeable difference is the watering frequency.

I grew a +13oz Early Miss Auto in a two gallon plastic pot using AN 3 part ph perfect !

I’ve tried AN ph perfect, GH Maxi series and Mega Crop one part. All with similar results !

But for cost and ease of use Mega Crop one part wins hands down.

I would rather weight out grams than use a syringe to measure out liquids from multiple bottles of mls…

Cheers

I don’t weigh it anymore. I use the scoop and eyeball it and then add water to get down to the ppms I want. My water is filtered and I don’t generally pH anymore,
