Mel franks GDP run

Dark Heart isnt going to say that is gets mites easily unless its true, that would be bad for business in a strain advertisement. Pest resistance comes in many forms and Ive noticed that strains that are very resistant to one type of pest are often more prone to other types of pests.

Iā€™ve grown like 50 cuts of GDP with not one miteā€¦?? Maybe it can get mites easier because itā€™s thick and bushy. Most plants that are thick and bushy are more likely to get it because of the lack of light penetration to certain spots on the plant which cause bad air flow

Ok well sounds like you have a very clean grow environment and donā€™t understand science.

Do you mean air flow? Iā€™ve never dealt with mites so Iā€™m unsureā€¦ I never knew light to be a pest deterrent.

Donā€™t understand science? What science did you explain? That DH says GDP is might prone? Lol ok I was talking about purple punch. Just because gdp is a parent doesnā€™t meant it carries the trait. Thatā€™s why I posted this Find Out Why The Purple Punch Strain Is One Of The World's Best

I donā€™t get mites either so Iā€™m no pro at mites infestation lol I guess donā€™t get a gdp cut if you gets mites a lot

Itā€™s not a DH strain man. Itā€™s had those traits

That article specifies PM resistance, not spider mite resistance. I agree that even though GDP gets spider mites, that doesnt mean that trait will be passed down to PP. Ive noticed PP not get PM when nearby strains did, and Ive noticed PP get spider mites when nearby strains didnt. Thanks for your input and experience.

Anyways purple punch is a bug repellent strain even tho itā€™s parent isnā€™t and now you know. Have a good one bro lol

Thanks, all insects, fungi, bacteria, are all bugs and must be the same, who needs to differentiate between species lol

Spider mites target the best plant /plants in your garden.
Either terps or sugars are the cause

It is a bad photoshop. But, that same photo is on attitude and the gdp genetics website. So im almost certain that was supplied by gdp genetics(ken estes).

purple punch is larry og and gdp?

I have a pack of kenā€™s grandpa larry which is larry og x gdp.

is there a breeder associated with purple punch? is it potentially a selected pheno of kenā€™s grandpa larry?

Yeah and Godā€™s Gift is also a OG x GDP. The breeder associated with Purple Punch is Supernova Gardens or Genetics, they are out of Hawaii I believe. I find Purple Punch to be more frosty than the other GDP x OG crosses, but the other versions from other breeders have good qualities. Purple Punch does not stretch as much as the Larry OG parent.

I used to grow the godā€™s gift cut when I lived in and around SF. Slow growing but ultra dense with a super-kind all encompassing high. Very dark leaves and flowers when I grew it outdoor or greenhouse on the coast.

3X crazy was another one of my favorites. My black market friends and dispensary connect told me it was Purple Urkle x OG x GDP.

Now on the internet Iā€™m seeing people list it as gdp x bubba x og, but I remember everyone always said purple urkle or mendo purps at the time.

Iā€™m always hoping that 3x crazy or godā€™s gift will get popular again, those were excellent medical lines and the highs were amazing.

Yeah Iā€™d always heard/read/seen it as Purple Urkle x OG x GDP, definitely not bubba
I actually had a couple seeds of Godā€™s Gift last year, was what I wanted to grow first when I started up again, but they never popped.

The cut of purple punch I had was like a crazy trip at first. Hard to not have lights glaring and a sense of confusion that was semi controllable, then it was like a ton of bricks hit ya. Wasnā€™t there with every batch but the ones that were are a thing to remember

Different effects All from the same cut? Was it the timing of harvest?
I definitely have noticed a difference in smell and flavor from one jar to another from curing. even as the jar gets more air space, those last buds have a different smell and taste than the buds when it was full and first opened. Just like how wine breaths after being opened.

Never did pin point it. My assumption is just difference in the grow by something. I find most buds have similarities but also have various effects depending on harvest day, cure, problems during run, and so forth. Take gg4 to 8 weeks sheā€™s a race ready smack of energy for me, take her to 10-11 weeks sheā€™s a couch lock queen. Mind you time of day and such vary things but itā€™s interesting to see. Cloudy, Amber, and clear I understand the whatā€™s happening with CBGa and itā€™s breakdowns but still have little to go off of personally with testing being expensive and me being cheap lol.
