For Samās GDP, do you mean his Back Country Purple? or was there another one? I have a pack of the Back Country Purple he made but there was a thought that they were sterile seeds, I havenāt tried them yet, but if you got them to pop thatās real exciting!

When I did the auction last year he sent along some GDP f2 he made. Itās taken me a minute to show my gratitude and appreciation, and to have two different lines of GDP going at the same time is awesome for me!!!

I was always told Estes did not make gdp , it was given to him by some growers on a NorCal Indian reservation , he was a medical patient who was used for his script in the early days of the medical scene and wasnāt much of a grower back then. If you look hard you can find a old video where he romanticizes getting the gdp from a Indian in a tent. He tells it like he sat in a tent with a native shaman and was gifted the beans, not exactky the scene up thereā¦It came out of the grows he was involved with but had already existed in NorCal.
The first place I saw gdp was a club in Modesto , it was always solid purple no matter if grown indoors or not, that club got busted and it was about three years before I saw gdp again. It was not the same plant , smelled and tasted the same , grew the same but would only go purple if really cold or outdoors.

Thereās difference between the two for sure, but as things are moving along the two are looking more similar. We shall see if they continue in some sort of unison or if they go left to right, up and down, lol. But I will say that the one pictured has a phenomenal growth pattern thatās symmetrical in all ways. Most visually pleasing plant Iāve seen. And the top is remanded itself into a uniform height with all branches growing. Nice fat joints on them also. The stem is thick as hell to with roots sticking out like a tree. Has to be thicker than most Iāve seen

Iāll have to delve into the history more. Iāll make it a point to ask Mel where he may have got it from. Exciting to have connected with these and many other of Melās lines. It was in my eyes the person who has the least to gain off the scene when it comes to incorrect linage of genetics. So they would in fact be the most correct I could possibly get my hands on. At least with these strains I did get. I hope he release more as time goes. Todd is reproducing a ton of his stuff. But thatās like saying the beans from 96 skunk1 are the same as the 2010.

If you can contact Mel Frank, please see if you can also ask about the lineage of his NL5Haze x Sensi Star while youāre at it, would owe you a big one for that 
I tried asking Todd a few times and all he would tell me is, he didnāt dare question Mel on how or where he got his stuff, was just thankful to be able to work with him, but itās all 100% legitā¦
Iām not sure how to get in contact with Mel directly or I wouldāve done that months ago

Sounds like I need to seek out some seed sources then trying to find a good one for sleep Iv been noticing when I use ABV it does a lot better then smoking alone

Its always been a good strain for me. It helps out the nerves and back pain. I keep lurking to see if I can find some good gdp.
