Those roots look nice and spread out. The only flush pump i have atm is a drop in so i try to train my roots to ball up tighter to get the pump inside the bucket :joy: you know the saying happy wife happy life. Its true here too happy roots happy plant imo most noobs mistakes can be traced to the roots

It comes out if his medical grows but he didnā€™t breed the plant so to speak, another one of those strains that came about before it was cool to take credit for things like that.
It comes out of the Oakland mendacino crew , specifically the covelo area.
The same club that first had the gdp and to this day the best gdp Iā€™ve seen also had a strain called purple rain I plan on recreating. It was a cross of lavender and grape Krush. On another note one of those seedlings pictured has almost identical leaves to a gdp clone Iā€™m testing at the moment.

The GDP I grew for 3 years up until I lost the strain a couple of months ago, had the narrower looking leaves like the ones in the last couple of pics in your first set.

They are looking nice and healthy, I will be following along to see what differences there may be. They are my favourite strain, got about 60 grams left now in jars ,

The leave structure and the way it grows I think is howā€™s this plants genetics stand out IN the crowd. But Iā€™d be rather curious as things get farther along how the structure on these turns out. That is an awesome piece of history when it comes to this strain. Iā€™m starting to take a liking to all the info you have in you.

Iā€™ve only asked a few questions and gotten some short answers. Itā€™s good prep rock know though when asking him about This. Iā€™m really hoping he will be pretty open to it. People are getting old and it would suck to lose the pieces to the puzzle.

Iā€™ve had a obsession with this plant and the history behind it for a long time. It also helps that Iā€™m right in the middle of California and have friends to the north and south.

Iā€™ve heard GDP came from Lake Co and then became famous as a clone in the East Bay. Estes had/has contacts in Lake Co and thats where he got GDP, a lot of people in Lake Co know of Estes.

I read somewhere from Ken in a short bio
that he got this mystical plant off of the natives.
Emphasized ā€œmysticalā€
