Method for reversing using Chrysal Alesco Experiment

I am going to conduct an experiment using Chrysal Alesco by spraying it on a feminized autoflower to see if I can obtain some pollen to create feminized autoflower seeds. @AMunkFromCupertino tried it, and it was a one-and-done spray. I want to see how it works on an autoflower. He also supplied the Chrysal Alesco, so thank you, @AMunkFromCupertino!
The formula consists of 250 ml of distilled water and 1.25 ml of Chrysal Alesco, which I will spray within 30 minutes of mixing them together. I plan to spray it in week 2 just like its done with the STS spray, after the plant emerges from the ground.
I have put the seed in a jar sealed with hot tap water, @THCeed hot water bath style Method. Let’s see how this turns out, and hopefully we’ll have some pollen at the end!

Nice find, for those that ask themselves wtf it is :

Any excess spray or leftover solution needs to be collected and the silver recovered by
following the procedure on the label. The recovered silver needs to be disposed off as
chemical waste.

Still AgNo3 ^^, but 1-MCP based (?!) wich make it a true alternative ready to use.

Thank you for putting this info up.
Much Appreciated. @Fuel

Very excited to see how this goes for you :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m currently hanging a bunch of plants to dry that have S1 seeds in them from my experiments this year with Chrysal Alesco.

My one and done was basically soaking each branch that I applied this to. I mean, it was dripping down onto the ground after. One good soak, and you should start seeing results about three weeks later.

Let’s see how the timing works with autos…I’d get it on there as soon as there is any sign of maturing. I suppose around the 20 mark is when you might expect this on an auto.

That’s what i plan on doing, soaking it , i will have 250ml of solution for maybe a plant 4 inches tall. Lets see how tall it is in 2 weeks or like you say 20 days.
This will be Fun…

Today, I put the sprouted seed in the dirt. I’m a little concerned because the seed popped out with only a 1/8-inch tail. I checked it for two days, but it didn’t get any bigger, so I decided to plant it in the dirt. I’m crossing my fingers that it comes out by next week. If it doesn’t, I’ll try another seed.
Hopefully it didn’t get stunted and it grows out big and strong.

Not having any luck with the seed popping. I guess i will wait and see. Maybe third time is a charm.

I guess third time is a charm, this time i am using some Critical+ 2.0 Auto from Seedsman.
I put the seed in a jar with faucet hot water and a little hydrogen peroxide , and the jar wrapped in a heat pad set to 80 degrees. Its been cold out hear the last couple of days.

I’m getting flashbacks to the one out of twenty-three seeds that popped from my Ruderalis stash.

Hopefully you’ll have some more luck! :four_leaf_clover::metal:

Hopefully it pulls threw.I know its a bad picture because i am horrible photographer

i was under the impression you spray before flipping and continue after flip with STS ill have to revisit procedures before i use up mine

Yes, I will always apply Silver Thiosulfate at least once before flowering.
Usually about five days prior.
Then I spray once every five days, for a total of four or five treatments.

Yes , i would spray before flipping a Photo-period plant. But since i am doing this on a auto-flower, i want to spray it two weeks after it is out the ground like people do with the STS spray…
Since i am doing this and we have had some cold weather i think this is affecting my seed germination. I always do this in like April when is warmer.
I have to find a way to get some heat in my box. Was thinking of setting up my small futurebit crypto miner in the box so i can get some HEAT…

I believe what you’re thinking is when to start plants.
If you are reversing an autoflower and using it to pollinate another autoflower, one would start them roughly two weeks apart.
I’ll usually spary my first go shortly arfter she shows her sex. Depending on how fast she is. For me, most get their first treatment between day 20 & 25.
Do you have two seeds?
Or are you just making S1’s?
