Micro grow for vivarium

I want a baby plant in my vivarium…any suggestions on strains that tend to be teeny tiny?

That will be cool as fuck I’d definitely be interested in watching that

How small are we talking?

An abused auto can stay pretty small. But a photo even started straight at 12/12 can get pretty big.

Here’s some reference material that may be helpful…

The techniques used are sound.

Were talking too small…the most ammount of dirt makes the shallowest part of the tank…maybe i can plant it on the right side of the tank and the roots will maybe naturally go left?

Ya id imagine they’d go that way with more room

This is my first “vivarium” and likely to experience changes.

I already think i have waayyy too much soil as i was trying to hide a 2 gallon fish tank.

Did you plan to flower it out or just as an ornamental?

Saw this guy at the grocery store he would be perfect lol Cheers !!!

Ornamental to begin with…for sure

Id like to perpetually increase the environment so that the 1 plant is the centerpiece in its own vivarium

I’d think you could do pretty much any photo and have it as a nice display but after a month it’ll likely get too big for your space.

I had an auto that flowered out and stayed 5” tall but I had to treat it like absolute shit to make it happen.

You should throw a hermit crab in there! Cool little creatures.

@MerryWanna0303 keep it in a small cup buried below the soil to contain the root mass which will keep it small.

every 4-6 weeks, defoliate the largest fan leaves, dig it up, cut of a chunk of the roots with a utility knife, re-pot it and replant. This will keep it from getting root bound.

Have fun!
