It’s an s1 bean by @middleman
Figured I might as well chop the Chem 91 s1 since her sister met the end yesterday.
Really nice buds, IMO
Can’t describe the smell. Maybe slightly gassy/chemical. But not burn your nostrils offensive. I don’t know…
Anyway, thanks again @GCBudz for letting me grow these. You did good!
Those are killer looking man! Amazing grow again! Time and time again you produce awesome flowers.
Lol don’t ask him about smells he has said many times 🤷. I have the same issue if not skunk or citrus I’m pretty much lost.
Thanks @420noob
This grow was pretty much autopilot. I used mini octopots and Jacks. I checked pH one time at the beginning of flower. That was it.
Definitely could have done a few things better (like cleaning lowers more and supporting the tops, but it was good return on effort.
Gotta give credit to the genetics too!
Nice job, growing! The nugs look like Chem 91 but purple!
Saw this ad on Craigslist and figured I’d check it out.
I got it, but I won’t be able to test it until tomorrow.
It came in the box and looks brand new, so it should be good.
I can use this to do continuous runs of one auto flower at a time in a mini octopot. Not that I couldn’t be doing that now, but I can dedicate this to it.
That’s awesome being able to have a single light source for small single plant grow should give you a lot to work with. Also can play with lightning hours with autos.
I tested the light. It works fine. $25 for a $150 light; I’m happy about it.
Damn I want to start an auto seed, but I have to have everything chopped by the end of February / beginning of March, so I can’t.
I made some assumptions about the father of my Grand Traverse Tart Cherry (GTTC), and if I’ve ever stated those assumptions here, I have to correct the record.
GTTC = East Coast Sour Diesel x Keed’s Cherry Kush
I acquired it from @PowerpackGenetics here on OG before he was banned. It was bred by Fourwiseyes of Kinetic Genetics.
I don’t think I’ve ever misstated any of that.
For a long time I tried to find information on Keed’s Cherry Kush, but I couldn’t find anything. So here’s where my mistaken assumption comes in; I assumed that Keed was a grower and this was his selection of Cherry Kush. I further assumed the Cherry Kush was (OG Kush x Purple Afghani). That is WRONG.
I had not given up trying to find information about “Keed” and I recently found this:
So Keed’s Cherry Kush = Cherry AK47 x Alien Kush
My previous assumption of the Cherry Kush being the one with OG Kush in it was reinforced by the fact that GTTC in veg will put out leaves with three leaflets. I had been told that was an OG Kush trait.
That’s the same light I just took out of my 3x3… I had two in there.
I also think it’s perfect for a single plant.
2 in a 4x2 would produce well.
Looks really tired, and decided to lay down>>>
Nice Find.
@middleman I think this year is the year I grow hidden in plain view. Without cursing through all the info in this thread how big will the ABC’s get outdoor if say I decide to put one or two in the ground or at least in good size containers? I assume they’d handle the AZ heat as well? Unfortunately the spot they’d be in would only be getting about 4 hours direct sun everyday but I think in my sun here locally that’ll be enough lol
Thoughts on the matter?
It’s all gonna depend on which cross you go with. The (TW x GG4) one has plants that got 8 feet tall for me. Those are the only ones I grew outdoors.
I imagine the (88G13HP x SBT) and for sure straight ABC will stay much smaller
They are pretty tough, so I think the heat will be fine. I know they can take the cold.
Outside the 4 hours direct sun, will it still be pretty bright where they are? Probably should be fine.
About this big @Rhai88 …
That’s a link to a previous post showing height on the two I mentioned
oh our sun don’t play here… we get burnt even in the shade
Alright… well I want to make it worth it. 8ft isn’t horrible. especially if I train these babies and keep them super low to the ground. Always wanted to grow a monster bush outdoors. This will be the year for it. Even though projects are stacking up.
oo0o0 I like that… that’s good size and manageable. How was the smoke on the ABC? I’ve never really heard much about the smoke/terps that come from them.
It smelled like lemon/pine. The smoke was ok, but certainly not great. I think the crosses would be much better.
I still had fun growing it though, and my neighbors (even the non-smokers) thought it was quite the novelty.
Cool whip! I’ll be digging in the fridge for some of the ABC crosses! Have em on standby!
Thanks dudes!
I’ve been growing abc’s outdoors in the New Mexico sun for five years. I bet they’ll love it where you are. They start off very slowly, so if you want big bushes, i would germinate the seeds yesterday and plant them in a raised bed.
