MoBilly’s green room

Moth balls. Will they kill my plants? I seen a reptile. The fumes are strong. This grow is going to kill me. Lol the bug spray is the worst. I have almost got it under control. I did get some soap for the sprayer. I hate to lose them.

That’s a new one on me man.
I’ve never encountered that situation. I wouldn’t think a lizard would be a problem. They eat bugs. I bring in ladybugs, granddaddy longlegs… to eat any bugs that might get in my green room.

Well hell, 3 of yas for certain from ‘where-ever’ end up over here? That must really be the place to ‘NOT’ be! Things change, and sometimes not for the better, but their loss is our gain!

Hey @Eagles009! It’s old home week! :joy:

They didn’t run me off so much as disgusted me. Small pond, a few overgrown frogs. Egos gone wild. When you double down on your own bs you’re an adolescent. If someone can’t get along with a fellow like @MoBilly they have issues. I do feel kinda like I swam to shore and left the innocent folks on the boat.

Anyway I just kick some dirt on that crap and move on. :dog2:

Thank you  I already feel different about this place.

lol so you basically ran yourself off! I can totally understand and relate to that! kinda reminds me of that ol story of the housecat that was screwing the skunk, he stopped and started to walk away the skunk said ‘what’s the matter, why ya stopping’? The housecat replies ‘it ain’t that I’ve had all I want, it’s just I’ve had all I can stand’…

I see more than three, lol. There are people there who have been there too long I think. If you never have to defend yourself with rational arguments you tend to just carry a stick around. A definite lack of consideration for others amongst some that should probably be more concerned with customer service.

I guess that’s a rather common occurrence on lots of sites. You have the ‘old guard’ who think any ‘new comer’ is a POS greenhorn with no knowledge to contribute … ‘so just go over there and sit in the corner, quietly’… and even though the new comer to ‘their’ site may have more knowledge to contribute … which oh boy, does THAT not go over well, lol… they’d rather go the route of insults and such. It’s on almost any site I ever saw or heard of.

edit… That’s one of the reasons I tend to stay away from any forums/sites, other than as a ‘lurker’ lol

I get it, I’m old. I have manners and the expectation of them. I can understand how someone who puts themselves in the position of educator, justifiably, gets tired of entertaining kids who don’t yet know enough to even present a reasonable question. Ya don’t even know how much you don’t know kid, beat it. But I feel there’s responsibility attached to that, especially if you’re part of the organization.

And sometimes you just want to rectally demonstrate the dimensions of their keyboard.

Nailed it.

LOL now there’s a unique way of saying ‘shove the keyboard up their ass’ …never heard it put so ‘nicely’…

Lol, thank you. There are so many ways to get your point across why break the fucking rules? :joy:

I am a good example of that now that I think about it. I got a vocal performance degree as a youngster intending to be an opera singer. I have the equipment but not the temperament.

Usually when you pursue music degree at a University it becomes clear very early that there are only two ways it will pan out. 1. You go on in your chosen profession and become either very thin or famous and wealthy beyond your wildest dreams. 2. You become part of the machine that you just paid $60k to for the education and you teach.

Of course, I fully intended to be Franco Corelli. If you know who that is you’re laughing. Obviously that didn’t happen, and as an undergraduate I tried very hard to teach voice to young freshman. It wasn’t my idea the University required it LOL… but I tried. Really tried. But the 10th time some 17 year old kid came to his lesson not even remembering what he was supposed to have done in the interim much less having done it I lost my shit.I understand that it was my own anger at the disrespect I felt this kid was showing to something that Meant so much to me. So yeah, I can “understand” the feelings some learned people on forums have. However, in the real physical world as in a university you can’t just wave your junk at somebody and called them names. You have to behave like an adult. I stopped attempting to teach almost immediately after that. I realized that not only was it bad for me it wasn’t good for the people that I actually hoped would find singing to be what it is for me.
