Yea the shock treatments are not fun…had 2 eggs for my hand and it was not great
Man go have fun @MoBilly ! I haven’t picked up the 6 string near as much as when younger, I never got into blues, I jammed the thrash metal stuff. SLAYER!!! Too old for that now, just throw a Am and a G chord here and there and sing to the toddlers lol. Go have some fun man that’s good times brother! Don’t forget to update us on the ladies! And to any on the gulf coast, get your generators dusted off and stock up, looks like hurricane season just woke up and had her coffee. Be safe!!
Same boat here, seen them 5 or 6 times all over the east coast. Best metal band EVER.
I seen the hurricane track on what was td 9. Haven’t looked yet today if it has been upgraded yet. But it was tracking over my last home town
Can’t wait for @MoBilly to give us a update on those frosty ladies… good morning everyone
@Dalorean
I put together a bluegrass/gospel band about 12 years ago. Covid shut us down. Now things are opened up but two of my members decided they weren’t into continuing. My lead guitar picker (40 years pro jazz and blues picker) is still game though and the bass picker. Now we just play nursing homes, hospitals, churches…
@Mrgreenthumb
I am a very eclectic personality when it comes to music. I listen to just about everything. I think, probably, my favorite concert was when I saw Deep Purple. My first album was Machine Head and I would have hitched to anywhere to see them. They came to St Louis so I made the trip. They were incredible. That was in 74 just before they split up. I think they knew time was short for them and they put it all out there.
Was that with Bolin on guitar?
Blackmore was a great great guitar player and a huge part of Deep Purples success, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Tommy Bolin.
My first concert was Jimi Hendrix at the Boston Garden. My cool uncle brought me there. I believe it was in 1970. It was all downhill from there. I spent the 70s and 80s chasing concerts. I have seen many of the all time greats. Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, AC/DC, led Zeppelin twice, the Stones twice, Ted Nugent too many times to remember, Heart, etc. I loved concert going back then. Not so much now. I do like to do the Trans-Siberian Orchestra thing at Christmas time. If you’ve never been, it’s quite an extravaganza. It’s like a big-time Broadway Show with a Christmas theme, a rock and roll delight with lazerz and smoke and fir. They even have a snow machine that makes it snow on you during the performance. Then whe the Christmas part is over they hang around to do another set of classic rock and some of their own stuff from their other band Savatage. Check them out on YouTube they’re awesome.
Tommy Bolin was with T. Rex.
Marc Bolan was with T-rex.
It was actually in 74 at the Kiel Convention Hall so Bolin hadn’t joined yet.
Ive been to the show and have a CD around here somewhere. I enjoyed it.
You are correct, sir. My bad. I will stand over here and stare at my shoes for a bit.
I saw Deep Purple in (west) Germany. I believe the city was Saarbrucken or maybe Kaiserslautern 1974.
You’re not the first, nor will you be the last, to get those two confused.
Blackmore was playing with Rainbow in 75. Dad was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood when they played there. I was there on the front row. That was a “good” show but it wasn’t DP.
So you got to see Rainbow when they had Ronnie James Dio then. Very cool. But Dio didnt really shine great until he go on his own. And then when he fronted Heaven And Hell. Incredible voice for rock.
I aim to please bro. So I just took pics before watering and lights out. I’ll put them together in a post later today. Right now I have to go straighten out a water leak at my cousins house. Family helping family. That’s how it should be.
Yeah. Like I said “good”. They hadn’t tightened up yet in my opinion.
I believe it was Blackmores ego that would not let Dio shine. It was BLACKMORE’S Rainbow. And they did Blackmores thing. Which was why he was not with DP anymore.
Catch you guys later. Now I get to go play in the water. At least I get to tear up someone else’s wall and floor this time. lol
@Mrgreenthumb

Here’s one of the surprises I spoke about. lol

The Charlotte’s Yesterdream
That’s a quick look.
I dusted a little more with the fem Frankenstein pollen. Not much because I have other plans for most of that but enough to see some beans.
Well, there you go. lol
I am thankful for your interest in this little journey.
May you be truly blessed and know that you are.
