Well off to the hospital. My buddy Ron (lead guitar picker and longtime friend) is going in to have his kidney removed due to cancer. I’ll be gone all day so I will be posting very little today. He is 80 years old so he isn’t the strongest candidate for this surgery.
Prayers or just good vibes for my friend would be appreciated.

And many just dont wanna pay good workers a livable wage, or one based on experience, OR bother calling back. And I am talking employers. Last year been hunting for a job, and at 49, with a ton of experience and skills, and hardly an interview. Even no callbacks after an interview that goes GOOD. Like “sorry but we decided to move forward with another candidate” basic courtesy stuff. NADA. Its frustrating, and sorry, but $15 hr isn’t paying my bills even with OT involved. Nor is it even respectful to my experience, skills or knowledge.

Agreed @Nagel420 . My boss always make sure we had enough time and decent pay. He was one of the few landscaper’s that guaranteed a weekly check even when weather kept us shut down. That’s why I stuck with him 17yrs.

I found out about 20 min ago that the surgery was successful and Ron should be awake in a little while.

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Everything appears to have gone well. Ended up a Quad bypass. He’s in ICU for a few days. But he made it out alive. That’s a good start.
