Modern Moroccan dry sift?

Is silk screen ideal? I’ve seen poly screen, stainless steel, and silk; the one in @MrWizard 's link is stainless… Thoughts on screen material?

actually if you don’t go for one of the sets the price isnt too bad for a pre-stretched screen. heres a pack of 2 from amazon:

around $60, and 110 mesh which i think translates to 149 microns which is a good sort of middle of the road screen size no?

I’d also like to point out that if you have bubblebags you’ve already got a 160u screen. Just load and shake onto newspaper.

The hard part is knowing when to stop. I do a little, collect, a little more, collect and so on.

I’ve wondered about trying to do that with bubble bags especially since I have a set of the 5 gallon and I believe 1 gallon bags as well. Figure why wouldn’t it work for dry sift? But felt stupid to adk.

Gotta love them fuckers…wife was freaked out about one we got cuz it had to plug into wall and the sound of the vibration terrified her  i may have to try a mix of this and the bubble bags in a bucket and see how it does for dry sift

Thought that I’d update here. I picked up a 110 micron silk screen to do some dry sifting, price was pretty good at around $30 shipped for a 20x24” screen from an all USA produced company. Used it today to shuck a seeded plant and got a nice little pile from it. I’ve got a Turkey bag of some grape Kush in the freezer that I’ll try running and pressing as well. I’ll hit this thread with the results when I get around to it.

No I got this one from a screen printing supply company, seemed to be priced better than the stuff on Amazon and it was made in the USA, so hard to beat, here’s the link:

I got the 110 to make farmer’s grade pressed hash, but you could order multiple micron sizes and stack them to clean things further if your plan is to press it for rosin or whatever

Interesting… but where’s the 17.85 come from? Have they already raised their prices 50% because of inflation or something? :stuck_out_tongue:

didnt notice that, i payed 25.88 plus 12.95 shipping for mine totaling at 38.83, so yea must be some kind of supply chain related price increase.
