My first Hydro Setup 🌿

Thanks I can see how that could become an issue.

and go for it! I use RDWC and find it very satisfying.

Ok, so I haven’t been ph’ing anything.

What should my ph be using hempies and the jacks nutes @dequilo

Also, that https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-Instruments-Conductivity-Combination-Temperature/dp/B002P304WY. Is this the meter?

Whats with the parts per million?

A street 90 has a socket side and an insert side.

Common when you want to avoid cutting and solvent welding an extra joint. Say in a condensate line you would use a street 45 into a Wye.

Id use 2 45s or a dwv 90. But they dont make dwv fittings smaller than 1.5"

Going at ph of 6 seems a good place after research…

Going to flush the crap out of these now.

Interesting read, seems fairly accurate.

Seems that I can measure my Jack’s food, but still need to monitor the PPM?

How accurate is this for ppm?

@dequilo is this the case?? “Everybody does it a little different but I feed twice and then flush. Most everybody will flush to prevent the buildup of salts.”

I’ve been feeding with the jacks at every watering. So the perlite creates additional alkalinity (salts) and what I’m seeing g (the lime green) is due to over feeding and the salt??

I just flushed the 5 gallon with 2 gallons ph’d water only (around 5.9 - 6.0-ish). Tried to go for a little lower than 6. The 3.5 gallons got flushed with a gallon each.

Wow - when I get this dialed in, woooo, lookout :joy::sob:

Nice Meter !!!

I did the same thing bought a Milwaukee MW 801 which is a nice

meter also

but I should have bought one these instead

https://www.ebay.com/c/15032245415

so when I was done testing with the meter I would still have a stick to stir

my nutes with

be safe and grow well

What’s going in is important, but the biggest consideration is runoff pH.

Runoff pH is everything in hempies.

I looked at them this morning and the blue dream (the lime green girl) was almost back to a normal green.

Holy crap this moves faster without soil…wow the learning curve.

Bwuahahhahahahaha

Ok, so we are not corrected yet :joy::rofl::sob:
Flushed the 5gal-1gal ph 5.8, 3.5gal-.33gal each ph5.8-ish.

Until I get my meter (tomorrow) I took the ph down to the 5 (orange color) figured better lower than higher atm.

What.the.heck am I doing wrong?

Assuming once I have accurate ph and ppm this will correct itself? Really, doing this without a meter to get exact readings feels like playing lawn darts at night…

Now that I got my pH doser I kinda wish I had it
