My first Hydro Setup 🌿

Those bottom couple of branches rarely amount to much. Plus they make great clones.

Beautiful plants there :kissing_heart:, just amazed how this hempy buckets work. Just one doubt hum|nullxnull , if you put in a higher position the drain hole will the plants have more water available and you could wait longer before the next watering? icon_e_confused|nullxnull

Not sure how that would work. I’d think you would want more root mass, which means more substrate. This is my first attempt at a hempy, so I am by no means any type of expert :exploding_head::laughing:

Ahhh, I was wondering if it was possible to over-water. Thx @dequilo

Over watering in hydro? icon_e_surprised|nullxnull Thanks for the reply but now I am pretty confused, if roots in DWC can swim in water 24/7 what would be the problem with these ones being more time flooded? Sorry for the question but I need to understand how it works … beer3|nullxnull

Hempys are passive no air

DWC is active air pump

hard to drown roots in water full of air

but you could be correct My Friend maybe you cannot drown roots in Hempys

all the best and be safe

Thanks, now that makes sense Arriba|nullxnull , I remember reading in a link you kindly provided the Hempybuckets v 2.0, maybe it is worth to try this air addition, roots love oxygen … beer3|nullxnull

P. D. Sorry nefrella for clogging your thread

You can put the hole a little higher and wait a little longer between waterings. I’ve done it as much as 4-5" from the bottom, works OK but you get better, more rapid growth with more waterings. As long as the media you use is coarse enough to hold plenty of air in the root zone, but at a certain point you might as well just do PPK or a similar wick system.

I recall from the gigantic hempy thread air lines to the pots was found to be ineffective.

So, whats standard operating procedure for nutrients / feeding for the week of the 12/12 flip ?

Do I only give ph’d water for that transition week, then week 1 of actual flower (week 2 from 12/12 flip) then start with the bloom nutes?

I will start feeding Flower food a week before the flip

and most of the time at week 4 ish of flower give them some Nitrogen

I have no real schedule or feeding program so I may not be the one to listen

but remember less is more
