ok so here are some crazy images.
I went down to the lab, and did some tissue samples of the seedlings. Yah, you heard me. I took the X-acto and cut off a slab of meat from the junction of the plants. Then I put them on the microscope slide and imaged it. My current working theory is the male will have more trichomes at the junction than the female. Once they get further along, the female has more trichomes on the little green nib and less on that pokey thing. So this is an image of the pokey thing. I am starting my observations there so we’ll see what happens. I’m not putting a “conclusion” sticker on that theory lol it’s just what I’ve observed SO FAR on a COUPLE PLANTS.
observations lean towards female on the left and male on the right. I swear to fuck that’s a coincidence it turned out like that.
Left:
Right:
I’ll keep the observations rolling. Hopefully the data will enable me to trash the males after 1 node of growth.

Damn bro, thats science shit right there. Be cool to see what you find.
heh heh I have to make a series of observations to make sure I didn’t just like fuck it up. As my guru once told me…

speaking of revealed, we got gender 100% on all parts of the frankenplant!
the triploid small shit plant was female, fortunately it’s not small and shitty anymore. Once I plant it in a bucket, I think it’s really going to do it’s thing. Could be hermie still heh heh.

seedlings are growing nicely. You can’t tell I scraped a small sample from each of 'em. I’ll sample them again later! At their next node.

veg room blah blah things are doing good. I think the meat breath are ready to fall over on the seedlings.

yah, see I burned that one plant. Too high an EC I swear it was up to 4.0…definitively too much. hah hah if not definitely.

I think today’s special project is to dissect a pollen sack. I am thirsting to see what is going on in there. Perhaps some immature pollen as well??? I’ve got to connect some dots here between what I saw on the big bud and an actual male. Obviously the big bud has no male flowers, yet still can sometimes pollinate itself with that…thing I found. Some kind of mutant pollen thing or something.
Phew had quite the sleep. Soooo tired!
Seedlings are lookin’ good.
You can see a bit of a mark on that one seedling I scraped the sample from there on the stalk.
oops almost forgot the roots.

veg room! Things are definitely ready to go into bloom hah hah! Couple days before I cut down the frankenplant, and put new plants in there.

I’ll probably do that sampling today. Pollen sacks are looking buff!
I experienced a radical bug in that game I was playing, took a couple hours to figure it out, so I could keep playing. I call it the “mini game” within most games, handling bugs lol!

The meat breath plants were ^5 the seedlings lol. Things are getting cramped!

I ended up taking another shitty veg photo. But here’s bloom! Should only be a couple of weeks before the meat breath is done.

I think I am going to boost the EC in the seedlings again.

Ahhh intermission is over! I have to get rough and tough with that male plant now. I think there might be something crazy happening there. I’m not sure what…but I think I should get my 'scope out and check. Good thing the bulb is warmed up already hah ahha! I passed out last night with the light still turned on Good thing it was -18C the light kept me warm at night. ahem.
we have female, looks like 100% female!
I dissected a junction of the plant and found no trace of male…things. Trichomes onboard! It’s like day 11 or 12 something I didn’t check.

oh I also saw the emergence of those “fat buds” on the meat breath, they erupt on a different schedule.
ok I trashed the frankenplant, but I kept it’s bountiful yield of data!
The plants never really join together, one of them becomes dominant and the rest are mere branches. You can see the roots of the male plant, even though they were in the same space, one gave way to the other. The frankenplant was 1 female and 2 males, with the female being triploid. I am going to run the female in uhh this next round or something. It’s huge.

It was like I rolled around on the forest floor after trashing that thing. Hopefully the female has a nice smell I tossed it in the garbage forgot to stop and smell the roses.
