My Water Culture

You know, here’s the strangest thing I learned from studying cannabis plants. The meat breath plant I have, that was given to me as a clone, started out as a triploid plant. It’s all got to do with the structure of the plant. Really bizarre, wait until I tell the person who gave me the plant, what it looked like as a seedling, it’ll blow their mind.

I’m working on it. Lol. You sure do make it very hard.
My wet grams per watt are pretty good.

@JoeCrowe those are very nice looking root balls  the color is perfect

but smoking them might be a bit rough :frowning: bake with them

heh heh those rootballs are gonna be excellent carbon source in the compost. They’ll mix well with the leaves and other household gunk like banana peels.

I still have the third light turned off to ensure the buds don’t dry too quick. I want it to take at least 4 days, but definitely not 6.

mmmm that’s good light burn.

aaaaand the big bud.

So the buds aren’t dried yet. They still feel nice and spongy, so they’re not drying too quick. I have tossed out most of the crud from the old grow. This time, I am going to take a couple days to really vacuum and mop the bloom area. I call it a “thorough cleaning”. I do it when I pick up the plastic I use for a floor mat, and there are lots of cruddy bits of leaf under there that are turning to dust. Meanwhile, you see I solved the back scatter problem on the photos. I just changed to macro mode hah hah.

I bet the mat dose help quite a bit. A deep clean is always good. If I had plants in multiple stages of growth I can see how getting around to a thorough cleaning can get away from you.

And, well… the bloomers bloom. Ahem shouldn’t have vaped all that freeze dried hash lol!! Today I’m going to finish the clean up and tomorrow I’ll re-ignite the light and push 4 more plants into bloom.
mmm lovin that light burn. hah hah I should take a photo of one of those leaves and ask what nutrient deficiency it looks like.

I don’t see any light burn. Am I missing something?

yah it’s kind of in the back there on the super large plant. It’s like Icarus, and flew too close to the sun.

Ahh the veggers. They are past due to move into the bloom room. I am going to start bagging today, the hay smell is gone. Leaving in it’s place…mmmmm… the glorious chemical cleaner/coconut smell. Apparently it’s an attractive smell, I have to keep quiet or else the ferrets’ll be coming to snack on my sack.

Bloom room! Lights out and ghost free. It’s strange but all you have to do, is not take a photo of the room on regular focus mode. Macro mode seems to never get back scatter. oops…spoke too soon  fuhhhhhhfuckin chair.

I see a ghost orb again… ganja guides we shall call em.

I’m gonna try moving the chair to where I am drying the buds. I suspect the back scatter is coming from there. hah hah we’ll see how that goes. dun dun duuuuuuhhhhh the mystery of the back scatter. Better start studying it. Usually I graphics edit the photo and put DWC FTW inside the orb.

example male.

example female.
Both of those seedlings are definitely male. fuck me. But this means I am going to sprout some lemon cheese next! excitement! It makes me wonder if the failed seedling was a female. And…we’ll never know!

oh reminds me, I’m going to toss those males into the bloom room and let them go for a bit. It’s to ensure I’m not full of shit with these ideas on how to sex 'em lol! Gotta get the observations in.

More progress! I’m bagging up the buds, I bagged some yesterday, but it wasn’t quite dry enough. I just leave an open bag laying there in those cases with the buds I already cut down inside.

In case anyone is wondering, I use my crazy experience with drying buds to determine when they are ready. Too wet and they mold, too dry and…well, you know the story. Crispy and crunchy and crumbly, nobody wants that. I do it by feel, where I just squeeze a bud on the line and see how it responds. Then when I figure it’s close, I start cutting them down and see how they react when I cut the stalk. If it’s hard to cut the stems they are mushy too wet still, leave it one more day. When the scissors cut cleanly through it, it’s ready. LOL it’s a tactile thing, I’m not sure it can be taught to others.
