My Water Culture

Oh my!!! Of course, I’ve been busy lately, and not just with gaming or studying things… oh wait. yah… studying things. I’ve got to run a new trial, but I’ll do it when I have the opportunity. Really curious about the results and here is what I propose. Since fungus is a replicating pathogen, and we’re dealing with a world that uses the germ theory… that means I can wipe out botrytis as well.
Here’s the thing. I haven’t seen it in 4 years, and I could have already wiped it out. Wonder woman aka gal gadot came over and we were chatting. I told her I thought these plants I have are immune to botrytis. Then I was like…wtf did I just say? Yo… that shit can’t be true, something else happened. Then people were asking about botrytis…and it just started rattling around in there. germ theory… exposure to replicating pathogen… I got thinking it’s dead. Like the pathogen has been exterminated somehow. Oh I can easily tell you when and how I was multiple exposed to pathogen botrytis. It’s actually fairly common.
The experiment is easy. Try to get the pathogen to grow. I know it can, because I saw the image of it on buddy’s weed which was a clone of mine. Instantly falsifying what I said to wonder woman. BOOM! Yet, paving the way to new insights.

Those seedlings are on the fourth node, but I don’t see anything. I also pushed the greedy harlequin plant aside so the fantasmo can get more light. Could be why there’s a bigger leaf on one side?? Who knows.
I’ll inspect the seedlings with a magnifying loupe, see what I can see.

I don’t see any sex expression starting yet on the 4rth node of any of the seedlings. I’ll keep looking!! I used a 10X loupe. I need to get some 30X lenses that flip over your eyes like goggles.

I gave the fantasmo seedling more nutrients and same with the meat breath. Meat breath were definitely depleted 100%, I was on tap water.

fantasmo, CBG! Growth rate increased, either from more light, more nutes…and perhaps both.

seedling rampage.

The seedlings are on their 5th node, but there is no sign of sex. From past experience, that’s a good thing with photo plants. ooo I can’t wait to see.

Jungle in there!

bloom is so close… we’re talking…days out, then it’s complete. The stink is phenomenal.

wow! I think you’ve seen all the plants I have growing in there, right now. If you look… really close, you can see there are no bugs or fungus here. Bugs and fungus might be really common… but not in my grow room. Reason? I am the ultimate clean freak. It solves many grow room problems, this I assure you. Why am I using hydroponics down there in the grow, instead of organics like I do outside? When I was using living soils inside, I realized there is a real problem with… like… scrubbing that up. Know what I’m talking about? It was the same thing for any medium including those expanded clay pellets. Cleaning them was difficult. You notice I didn’t say impossible  same with the soils. Those things are an easy host for disease causing parasites.

seedlings are exploding! If I get three females, I’m in trouble. OUCHY!

FLC-BX1! Can’t wait :crossed_fingers: it’ll make some radical hash.

ratted leaves! I call that the “human deficiency” or “human attack” because the leaves were all beat up by pulling the plant through a 5 cm hole or whatever that was. I also cut the roots like a maniac.

yo…does the carpet match the drapes? ha hhah! Seedling is putting down roots like no tomorrow and it’s on the next node. I’ve been trying really hard to keep it happy in the seedling stage, usually I starve em out and don’t pay enough attention cause the seedlings are destined for the trash anyways… after I slice and dice them. Only the clones survive

id love to see the “bigger picture” of your whole setup. from the pictures im guessing you have 2 rooms a veg and flower. Do you keep a bunch of mother plants also?

Like right now im setting up a flower room where ill do nothing other than flower. I have a tent in another room that ill do my vegging in, and then i was going to setup another spot for clones and mother plants. I think when my veg tent gives out though ill likely merge the veg/mother/clone areas together.

here’s a little mini virtual tour in photo form. Bloom room is in the middle of a retrofit, so it’s pretty empty. I’m going to be complete after today, it’s day 69 the plants should be complete.
You enter the veg room, make your way past the plants into the bloom room. The veg room is jam packed with plants awaiting the completion of the cooling upgrade. I always just clone the last crop before they go into bloom. Sometimes I’ll keep a mother for a single round.

Id love to have that height! I have to walk around hunched over in my basement so i don’t smack my head lol

lol yah that’s the beauty of the lab. High ceilings, wide open spaces, cool temps. I constructed it with my dad about a quarter century ago, specifically for growing weed.

Downed branches on the meat breath. I’m toying with the idea of the pathogens actually being finished off once and for all by super cleaning. Excited to make the observations, see if there are any colonies.
