Need info on tremors

Familial tremors are very similar to essential tremors.

8 Clinical Conditions Associated with Tremors

Familial and Essential Tremor

Familial and essential tremors are the most common conditions associated with action tremor. In the familial, or hereditary form, several members of the same family are affected. This is a genetically heterogeneous condition, and more than one gene might be involved.

The non-familial form is referred to as essential tremor because it is not associated with any other neurological condition. The term ā€œbenign essential tremorā€ has been used in reference to this tremor; however, this is misleading since the tremor can be very severe and disabling. The essential and the familial hereditary forms are similar in clinical presentation.

  • In some affected individuals the tremors start in infancy, however, more often they appear in the second and third decade of life and are most prevalent when a person is in his/her 60ā€™s.
  • It is seen in both sexes with similar frequency.
  • Most often, the first signs of tremors are seen in the arms, usually in both of them.
  • The condition is chronic and, in many instances, progressive; as time goes by, other regions are involved including the head, neck, chin, and mouth.
  • The tremor in the arms interferes with many activities such as eating and drinking.
  • Other clinical manifestations might be a tremulous voice, a continuous head movement in a vertical ā€œyes, yesā€ or horizontal ā€œno, noā€ pattern.
  • The legs are rarely affected.
  • The tremor might be severe enough to result in functional disability.
  • Tremors increase with anxiety and stimulant drugs and may decrease with the ingestion of alcohol.

There is no diagnostic test that confirms the condition. The diagnosis is based on clinical findings. However some tests might be indicated to rule out other conditions.

there are a few strains that have popped up (consistenty) in my research. please bear in mind, most of my research has been with alz/demā€¦ the addition of parkinsons has been a new(ish) thing, so still digging away at that. thankfully, there has been a bit of crossover as some of the strains iā€™m working with alz/dem also fall in with parkinsons.

so. that all being said, off the top of my head the crossover strains were:

  1. kosher kush
  2. bubba kush
  3. amnesia haze
  4. trainwreck
  5. lavender haze
  6. harlequin (a CBD strain)

again, we see heavily sedative/painkiller type kush strains and upbeat/enegetic/painkiller haze type strains.

nowā€¦ have i been able to test any of these and watch for the tremors. no. but i did test one recently OFF the (parkinsons) list ā€œcandylandā€. it didnā€™t stop the tremors in her hands completely but it lessened them to a great degree. left hand had stopped, right hand still had slight tremor.

hope this helps/answers your question(s).

The Amnesia haze helped here and there ,one day he d show me his hand was still and he could write his name legible but it wasn t consistent which was strange to me . I grew out 1 feminized plant so there wasn t enough to do or keep track of his symptoms. one day it worked the next not so much but it gave me hope. Seeing him the last couple days struggling effected me and lit a fire under my ass to help him . I know he takes medication for it but he couldn t tell me if it actually helped or not so I m entering the fight to help him anyway I canā€¦

try kosher or bubba. kosher came up a LOT. this is why i list it #1.
i remember seeing kosher and parkinsons EARLY in my research. years before she was even diagnosed.

bubba comes up a lot as well.

good luck in your quest man. understand there is more to it than just the ganj. ganj will help, but proper diet, sleep, exercise etc all play their roles as well.

sure man. hope it helps.

last tidbit that we are dealing with on this end with the parkinsons. the limbs get very stiff at some point. not a big fan of yoga, but some kind of flexibility exercises to keep himself limber. it will pay off in long run with the mobility.
itā€™s good that he walks with the dog daily. fresh air, sun and exercise and his little buddy to do it withā€¦ all good stuff.

I suffer with spasms and slight tremors. Affects me more when resting. Iā€™ve been told itā€™s a form of Parkinson from one neurologist but another doesnā€™t agree.
I have found micro dosing helps. (Mushrooms)
Depending on the person and the disease most start in the brain, from what Iā€™ve learned and been told.
Thatā€™s why microdosing works for me. To be able to not have the spasms and tremors makes life easier.

Some prescription drugs can cause tremors / parkinsons symptoms as well.

I donā€™t take any scripts except 1 for this condition and at a very small dosage.

Only reason I mentioned that was cause I have a family member that was said to have Parkinsons.
But it turned out it was just the pills they were taking that caused the symptoms.
That is awesome that the micro dosing gives you relief! :slightly_smiling_face: :v:

I find trying to control, to stop tremors , it just makes it worse.
Or in just more aware of itā€¦
Yoga helps, too.
Microdosing is unbelievable how well it works for me. Itā€™s not about having a trip on shrooms. You donā€™t take that much, you can but thatā€™s not my purpose
