Not sure, I feel like I may have seen them on strainly and not bothered looking at them too closely because their prices were the same as everyone else (fine for folks in places with a lot of scarcity or who have money to spare but I am trying to avoid spending too much on growing), I checked their Instagram because I saw one of their business cards at a local hydro store and gave them another look. For a lot of these there’s no hunting or breeding though, if someone is selling cuts of Tahoe OG for example like the OP is looking for, there’s a good chance they just bought the clone, vegged it, and they’re flipping cuts of it as a business. Many of these places are middlemen/nurseries, not actually doing the legwork to find the genetics.
I do agree with what you’re saying if someone has done the work to hunt the pheno they’re selling from seed, it’s just that many of the popularly sold clones are known strains. If I get a cut of MAC, it’s not like Capulator is getting money from that, it’s someone who got a clone from someone who got a clone from someone who got a clone from him or something to that effect, there are degrees of separation.

I understand that. Someone already did the hunt for these clones. I’m pointing out doing your own pheno hunt also has risk and cost.
Didn’t even get into people selling stuff that is mislabeled.
Ny genetraders is really expensive compared to genetraders events in say Mass.

I believe it, I’m not too familiar with the east coast scene but I know they run events all the way down to Virginia and it would make sense NYC would be most expensive

Plus one for AllStar. I got Ghost and Bubba from them. Let the Bubba go but Ghost is a favorite around my house. Supposed to be the real and original OG Kush held by orgnkid according to many.

Especially if you’re a personal grower and don’t have large spaces. I have no issues paying up to $200 for a known healthy and pest free vendor. But I keep them and make my own moms. I’m over pheno hunts for small spaces but if I had room I’d do it for fun.
I just recently received a replacement MAC1 for the one I lost a while back but in the meantime I’m at the BeanBasement, caps site and poney’d up to the dirtletter. It’s Caps path to have access to his seeds directly and even clones. Have to hit targets like posting a real-time grow start to finish and at the end of the rainbow he will sell a reasonably priced cut straight out of his garden of MAC1 plus access to other cuts. He only takes in a limited number in December I believe based on his availability of beans and cuts. It’s also another pretty nice board. I’m first year and working on my first PUOSU put up or shut up grow that opens doors to other parts that are members only. Plus much like this place there is no off topic political shit allowed which was the downfall of RIU and IC is heading downhill for that same reason. Especially when mods actively participate in the political shitfest and ban those who disagree with them. I’m a refugee from IC but not banned and last 6 months seems like a number of IC members are showing up here.

I agree with you on this. Only legitimate reason to pheno hunt is trying to find next big think. It’s a lot of work, even in large spaces.
How did the cuts from nobody nursery do for you? He said he was going to be doing a monthly email type stuff just before his discord vanished

I passed the church cut to someone and the Bandid #7 is about 30 days from chop.
Not sure if mods allow this link but here is my small side by side of Bandaid and Cuban. I have asked about maybe getting cuts of a couple other things he holds but he said he was spending the chunk of this year doing pheno hunts. I’m keeping my eyes on his stuff to see if he starts letting stuff out. I’d like to get his A5 and a SourD maybe plus a cut of his Santa Cruz as well.

Hey I was just reading you’re posts, the og caught my attention. I’m a og lover myself. I consider myself lucky to have met and know Josh D. The original og kush story strain breeder, who along with matt berger “bubba”, preserved started the og. Ghost og is also called josh d og. Tasty smooth good smoke and a killer nice high! He claims he’s doing a seed drop in which I’m supposed to score some. Looking fwd to a reputable true source. I will have to make 5000 babies and spread them around. I just ordered some Rockstar kush from British Columbia yesterday. Heard good things about that. Good medicine I hear

I would recommend All Star as well for a legit Ghost OG/OG Kush. But it’s a PITA to grow. I personally preferred Bubba Kush, NL both for smoke and to grow.

I really thought the Ghost was a pretty easy grower for me. I’m always interested in a trade looking for another real clone only cut of BlueDream Santa Cruz cut or Santa Cruz Haze.

Contact Rusty at Cannaventure Seeds by the email link on his site. He doesn’t list clones on the site but he’ll email you his current rooted inventory. I’m getting his Triangle Kush and Trinity clones in the mail this week. I’ll post up how they look once they get here. His prices are very reasonable for legit classics. Hope you find the one you’re looking for.
